~ Within this Week ~

We have seen so many things happening and I think it fair to say that we all have some areas that we are affected by what is happening globally. Do I wish to change the world. NO. Who could, we have to flow with what is happening and take into account the things that are precious to each and everyone of us.

I was watching a show that is one Greece and you know when you have people from different places it's really amazing. Some blogs I have literally killed myself laugh with the write as it almost takes you write into what that person went through and they write in such a way that shows some humor. And then to a grandmother that sees her grandson with such blue eyes.

It's really amazing in these times as during times as such we throw aside the areas that we know we are facing and we have that encounter that really is sort of some kind of encounter that I for the life of me can not explain. I would like to say that " Venus and Mars are alright tonight" and tomorrow morning we all wake up pending our time zones from which we embark on our day.

I called one good friend in Florida, Iraq, and Saskatoon. And each one of the had a different thing that was happening in life. Nothing tragic but the diversity is really all right. I wish I could come up with some poem but now not the time, but tomorrow is a holiday and I feel just fine.

So too all the fine people that over such a lengthy period of time I wish to you and yours a very great week.

As it's all in the manner in which we think and write. What ever it is - it's just alright. I am looking forward to watching a late DVD that I rented and thereafter enjoying a lazy Monday with nothing necessary to do.

And hey you know what - there is no one that is perfect on here but there is a small element of whom we are that does illustrate it's self  - and that is a good encounter. So as I head of this computer that is down in the basement, I wish to extend the best to each and everyone. I could go through my entire list of contacts but that is not necessary, all that is - is each of us just being comfortable in doing what we wish to do. From Georgia to British Columbia, Saskatchewan to Alberta, Melbourne to Adelaide, New York to England, and China to .............it's amazing. Hence we don't just learn - we thrive in an area that is significantly our own way - thus that is the way of life and why shouldn't it be as such.

We are not the governments of our world but we are the people of the world I am not sure how many have thought of that but it's amazing. So good morning or perhaps good day. Pending on where you are and the agenda of your day.

Sincerely,

Jack

  2. We had Thanksgiving supper at our daughter's last night, and as is custom in such circumstances, I ate a bit too much. I don't regret it, the meal was delicious. I don't plan on eating much today.

I've declared today my rest-and-do-nothing day. I've already watched a movie, I've read all my internet messages and have replied to most and later I will most likely get my Halloween decorations out and ready to be installed tomorrow.

It's raining lightly here at the moment and if it stops soon I shall go for a walk with my dog Dexter.

Have a great day Jack and enjoy your little friend.

  3. I am enjoying it and I did not do anything for this day other than make a few calls to some friends from Syracuse, Florida, Saskatoon, Winnepeg, and here in Edmonton and then I went and took Axile for a walk for the second time. We did not get snow here but a place called Regina and Yorkton, Saskatchewan have - one foot of snow this fist place in Canada to get it so early this time of year. And you have great weather there from what I see, here it's nice but we are definately leaning into Winter - as it's around the corner.

  5. I did not know you celebrated your thanksgiving in October. I hope your Holiday was a very good one. Our Thanksgiving will be celebrated with all the kids and grand kids coming in and all of us eating and laughing. I am assuming your holiday is much like ours. My family always comes here for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I enjoyed your writing and I love talking with people via the computer from different countries and get an idea of what their life is like. I have a friend in the U.K. and one in the Philippines and cy ber space friends from all over our Nation. It gets interesting to hear of different customs and the different walks of life we all enjoy.
I have been in Canada once but just barely. We went to Niagara Falls and then on in to Canada.
Have you traveled in our country ? I have never traveled abroad but have ben in several of our states.
Have a good evening and God Bless you

  6. I was raised in United States and then later on when my father retired I was introduced to Canada. And then I went back to New York and then I ended up back in Canada. So I have lived on both sides and my "status" on here says "Canada" as that is where I reside. It's really all about how we view each other in a manner that has some significance. I moved here back 8 months ago from another city, so it goes well, I am starting to meet friends here and there. God bless you as well.

  7. Ok, I'm done for the weekend. :-) Cooked a big supper for the kids and their partners and kids...... *L* They don't hang around long though because we see each other quite often. Sent the leftovers home with them. They're all busy and they work hard. We all live in the same town. We're lucky that way, to be sure.

I took the time this morning to pull together A Short History of Canadian Thanksgiving. If anyone is interested, you can find it here: http://wrenomatic.multiply.com/journal/item/410/Short_History_of_Canadian_Thanksgiving

  9. Cyn you are a very special person and I thank you. "It does not matter where your born nor where you come from all that matters is where your head is at". And that is definately intact. I thank Wren as she lives in a province I used to live in 8 months ago. But now I am in Edmonton, Alberta ~ without the snow ~
