Having the freedom to express my thoughts on many issues and never have to be concerned that I will be denied the right to do so within my borders. However, outside of the Canada, and in conjunction with any other nationality, I step more considerately.
I've a varied and international view of things by fact of environment and influence of same, and it's difficult to think in any other manner, as it would be for someone from another cultural background. Meaning we all have our own cultural diversity. And in trying to gain more understanding with others I try to find out more about them in an effort to understand what makes them think the way they do; what has shaped their thoughts and opinions. One from one country may think a certain way, whereas another may have a understanding and higher regard for thinking on a global level.
However, I do believe that we, outside of genetics, are products of our environment and what we're exposed to. I also believe that most people fear what they don't understand and the only way to change that is to educate themselves and expand what they have at the moment.
There are so many important matters going on in the world which we do have that impact our own rights in our own countries. And I do believe in a Globalized Economy - contrary to what many would think as if a country is a "micro country" it's not going to grow economically it will falter. As many times I do wish to write on some discreet politics on an international level but it’s always with regards to involve the issue of terrorism. However when we look within our own countries what do we see? Don’t we all have situations within our own lands that involve people being terrorized in many communities; atrocities being committed; diseases being left to increase; children starving to death; women and children being sold into slavery or the sex trade, our environment being destroyed at a faster rate than it can heal...the list goes on…But we do have indeed some areas to resolve..........regardless of where we are from - despite borders and change of any kind I think and I believe these are the times to act.
There was a writing with regards to Dubai, and how it's such a magnificient country that is like the city of NY, but the only manner that they will ever be able to truly enter into the "Global" union is if they seperate church and state. I forget his name he is a notable person, but perhaps there was some sense in what he had to say from his own vantage of a country that is very rich but still embedded within it's old traditional values. I don't know but it's something that I was thinking about.
* This picture was taken in Western Canada as Three Ladies that we preparing with what is called "military exercises", and then they were in route with Candians going to Afganastan. We talked about several things then and be all came to the same conclusion on what alliances are and I don't know where Kim is, but we all had many things in common. The picture was taken last year and at the time I introduced them to my father and they wished to meet him. The lady on the left was amazed with whom she met. And it made his day to meet them.
