Well I called my friend as I have two days till I start this new work. I decided that I would go get groceries and then go back to this place called Drumheller. I was all prepared and it was one of those last minute things. Then low and behold I am coming home and while I was closing my door my neighbor was there and in the way I turned I broke my mirror on my car.
So then I went and I can't get a replacement for it till tomorrow morning - and I put duck tape on it - and on a day that I thought I would be taking pictures on the anniversary of moving here to Alberta. I got held up. Now I have to be honest with you here.... this is the very last thing that takes place!
I am going to take the car in tomorrow and there after, I start my work on Tuesday. I would have loved to takes some pictures of the mountains again along with catching up with a good old friend.
That is pretty much where things stand at 12:00 noon here and I do agree that all things are in balance but right now, I am not going to drive while I have a car that I would get a ticket with. So that is the way things go. I am looking forward so much for Tuesday, and taking the car tomorrow I can do some other small things and take it from there.
Amendment - I went out and I have had two tickets thus far with this place here that I live so I went out and went shopping got some socks and some of those winter things as I will tell ya, in the morning it's really nippy.
So my mirror on my drivers side is fine and I called into the police to ensure that if it's done right I won't get a ticket - after I knew this then I got on with it.

ReplyDeleteThank you I start on Tuesday, and tomorrow I have my own time to do what ever I wish I thought that would be today and coming back tomorrow but it just did not work out - me and cars I will tell ya, I am a clutz when it comes to some of the things I do!. Anyways, your most welcome.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you. It's time to bring out or buy those essential winter things. It was 35F (2C) two mornings in a row here and that's a bit nippy. My birdbath water was frozen but it later melted when the sun came out. The temperature rose to 52F (11C) during the day. It didn't feel cold to be outside with the bright sun.
Enjoy your day tomorrow. Hope the mirror replacement will go well. It should.

I am sure all will be smooth sailing for you during the transition, & that you will quickly settle in there. It is Monday here, so Sunday where you are. ReplyDeleteThank you and I am going to just relax a bit I have been up since 5 and out the door. It was busy and now as of this Tuesday - It's finally done. And I am really pleased. I wrote this on Sunday as it's the anniversary to when I took that risk within my life and I will have to tell you - it has not been easy but finally it came to be! Hugs back Bev.
