A Ramble...

Gosh I have been thinking of something creative to write in some manner. It seems that right now there is not much time to take any sort of picture as it’s getting darker so much earlier and as well, I find that there just isn’t as much time.

I am not sure but how is it that as we age time seems to go faster?  I find that the days just fly by and there is not much time to really embark on something except work. I enjoy work but at the same time I am sitting here right now and just
thinking of something to write. I could write about my co-workers but that is rather mundane. I enjoy them, I am learning or adapting to new things every day right now. And then it’s off to home on the highway.

I know one, have you ever had one of those days that everything just is good. I mean things are not working out any different than anything else – but it’s just good for some reason. Of course I went and filled up my car with gas
and the person working behind the counter wasn’t all that happy. And I left and said have a great day. And then I ran into one person at the gas station that I know and he seemed to be preoccupied with something. Seems there was much on his mind...I don’t know maybe everyone has different things going on in their life or each and everyone of us is within
that fast lane right now, that we can smell the roses. Well, roses wouldn’t be growing this time of year anyways.

And then when I got home I changed into my sweats and in finding that I didn’t have leg pain – that I was having for the past week – it’s seems that might be the reason that I feel so good, I am not sure. It could be a combination of things but for some reason everything seems just fine. Fine is a good thing I think. I was out on the back porch last night before heading off to bed and there was a rabbit in the back yard. It just sat there.

So I went in and grabbed some bread and tossed it out to it. But he never took to it I guess I should have used a carrot instead. One thing that is interesting is these rabbits are starting to change color now. It’s rather interesting how nature works and wild rabbit’s will go from one color to another for the season.

Just a ramble of a write....as I wish to write on something and...well I don't have any particular thing to write about other than just ramble.

  1. Well you have a friend here who enjoys your writings Jack All of them, even those you refer to as ramblings. It is so nice to sit with you on your Porch watching whatever passes by. Sounds like winter is on the way there * will soon be too cold to sit out on the porch , so is nice to make the most of it while you can.We have the warmer days happening here now, but still getting unseasonable frosts now & then.
I am sorry you have been having leg pain Jack, I didn't know that. I do hope it is not a permanent thing & soon gets better. It IS a relief when the pain goes away, even for a little while for sure. Hugs Bev

  2. G'day Jack,
Sometimes a ramble gives us a better picture of the writer than composed stories, feel free to ramble any time lol

  3. Ramble away, it's nice to just touch base with your friends at the end of the day. As for me, it was 42 degrees this morning and feeling darn nippy. It will moderate by the weekend. We have time change this Sunday, turning back an hour. Makes it dark earlier and light in the morning earlier. I like the light in the evenings, but the fall time change wakes me up earlier and I have more time for my day. Hope your week is going well Jack.............Lyn

  4. My husband and I remark on that all the time, now that we are retired. It was the opposite for us. When we were employed and working, the days and even the weeks seem to drag on and we were forever looking forward to the weekends. Now that we have all the time in the world, the days fly by at such speed that most of the time we even forget what day it is. ;-))
    I enjoyed your rambling.

  5. It's going to be a week or more probably now before the white stuff happens but it's getting cooler now. But in the morning tomorrow there will be frost without a doubt. Over there in "Aussie land" it's your coming into your summer. Fortunate you!
My legs are good actually, and I think they just needed to get moving and slowly get used to it. So now and then I will have some pain but this week it seems that it's good - today it was so I hope this is the case. Thanks Bev and all the best there....

  6. Well here I will ramble a little more. I am tired and I have been working and then I had some studying to do and after writing five pages I am tired of that pen! So I will be up early in the morning and I am shortly off to bed, the one thing that I can't figure out is what coat I am going to wear in the morning and I can't seem to get that out of my head! :)
It's certain to me that the climate has come that there is no use for shorts anymore, but a warm bed and a warm car and good socks...:) As regardless of the climate one still has to walk....Gotcha! :)

  7. Today I got hit with some questions and then I had to go back and look into it, so this evening that was what I did and I will be up early, and I will be finished and home around 4pm, unless something comes up again like it has a few times but I don't mind it as it's structure living.
So for now I bid you a good night Lorna...and if you read this in the morning pending the time zones - a good morning to you and hope you enjoy that first cup of coffee or tea!

  8. For some reason there is not enough time in the day Lise, there are so many things to do that to fit them all in with 4 or 5 hours after work, is really something that is hard. Right now I find that my time is all in learning everything I am doing and tomorrow is Thursday and I look at how it's the end of October - I can't believe it. And I am not retired.
To have all the time in the world off............is something. Maybe it's just because there is less daylight time now and who knows but I certainly would like to be out with a camera, and as well at work take a few pictures but right now it's not the time. The focus is on my work. And everything else comes second, but when the weekend comes, I find that it's a time that you want to fit everything in, but I am not going to be getting up early and going out taking pictures or going for a coffee....hmmm, I guess it's just that time of year of a transition of weather and climate. There is many things that are happening so it seems, but I am just getting up while everyone is still in bed and taking that half hour to have a coffee and toast and then head off to the highway to get to work. Time there just is not enough of it. But maybe it will slow down, when I get completely settled in.
A good night or good morning to you and I look forward this weekend at looking at cameras and long johns!
I already have loooooong socks! :)
