Visual Renderings

I heading down to go to the Commonwealth Coliseum but there was no way to get in and take some pictures as I talked to the representative by phone while I was looking for a place to take some pictures. So I ended up going to Whyte Avenue which is a very artsy area of the city and I ran into this gent that was playing the Scottish bag pipes and I was going to video him and I look across and I could see across the street there was the caboose so I went over there and spoke to them and the halted there trip for me for five minutes so I could get a few pictures. Nice of them, I wanted one from within, but they were off schedule and I never push it, I was fortunate enough to get the pictures that I got and then I went the Provincial Legislature building which I did last year but just a few as I was running out time with my batteries with my camera. These all were taken on today's date of October 11th. By the time I got out there it was around noon, earlier it's was rather cold. But after it all I was pleased that I obtained some of the visuals that I wished to take for this t time of year.

  7. I researched Tartans and Plaids recently and contrary to what I thought, they are no longer associated with Clans or families.

I like this blue nd green one. It's unusual. Nice photo.

  8. This smiling conductor seems to enjoy his work. There should be more like him, particularly in Montreal.

  13. Actually he was very talkative and I asked him if he didn't mind the pictures and I know I could have got a video and him playing the "pipes" for thanksgiving but I looked across the street and there was the older men running the Caboose, so I knew I only had so much time his name was Julian, and was right from Scotland first generation - was neat.

  14. He was not wearing traditional but a mixture of something and was a Scottish probably due to the weather and he was not with a group to be playing he was just doing his own thing.

  15. I have no clue what this monument stands for. It was around the back of the Provincial building and I just liked the way it looked.

  16. This is right on the side of what is called Whyte Avenue. It's the back entrance to the Farmer's Market. There is about four of these and as I parked my car in a restricted area - I wanted to get a few things as fast as I could I really love some of the paintings that are done around this place as it's a very creative area.

  17. Jen, I really don't know what this stands for I just saw it and I liked how it looked. I guess I will have some explaining to do but I have no idea at the moment what it stand for. All I know is I liked the ongoing fire at the top and the hue of orange in the middle of the park that surrounded the Alberta Provincial Legislature Building.

  19. Most of them are retired and do this just on the weekends and yes indeed they enjoy it. They were more than hospitable in allowing me to take pictures that were avant guard but the passed there deadline by a few minutes and this was the second last picture - I wanted to get one from inside but there will be a next time. These two men we very happy with what they do. And it's more of a tourism thing, but regardless they were very nice older chaps.

  20. I love this building Lis. Last year I did much more with it. During the month of December. This day I just wanted to get a few things and not just focus on one place. I love historical buildings and the way they look as well as the way reasong they look the way they do.

  21. It won't be there much longer as the weather has started to really turn to being much colder. Soon enough they will dig them up as many places have now and fortunate for me I was able to get a shot with flowers as most places now have taken them out in preparation for the winter season. But the colours are nice. Brick and mortar and some colour from a natural source.

  22. When winter hits again I will get privy to go in more so that I did before and within this place it's something reeeeally special.
