I Just Got Home and TGIF....

I am not sure how you place these site. So allow me to just place it within here.

It's nothing special just a power point. Peace means many things. As well, just placing your feet up at the end of a long day and saying "yes".

  1. I agree that home is the best place to relax and ponder at the end of the day. I like to start the day with a happy attitude and then try to maintain it as the day goes on. My husband and I have tried to keep our home a place of refuge because when you have to mingle with others, that peace can elude you. Peace on earth will not come in a magical moment. Peace is a process and a way of life. It is a frame of mind, and it begins with each of us -- how we live our lives --how we act, the way we treat our families, our friends and our neighbors, and how we work out our problems. Now -I will hush and wish you a weekend of peace.

  3. Yes TGIF, it is Halloween night and I don't know if there are any gobblins out or not. I don't give candy to the kids, we had an influx of teenagers coming around, and I don't like to open the door to strangers after dark. So I am catching up on email and relaxing. Hope you have a great weekend.

  4. Oh I got some candy and a few kids have come by and at the same time I called this cousin of mine that can't seem to let his mother whom died a year ago.
But I am thinking of something to write meanwhile I just had a one family and their children go past so I took what I had and gave them most of it all....

  5. Well I did not have that happen as I wanted to make sure that if any children passed by that I would have something I met a new neighbor that is from Pakistan, and thereafter I had a call from one of my cousin regarding his brother and with a promise of privacy I told my cousin that my cousin needs to obtain help. He has everything, but was always pampered by "mom". Now that she is gone, he seems to have went into that zone that he does not accept anything - not even his wife he is trying to keep his mother alive.
So I indicated that I don't wish to get involved - as I have my own life to live but if my cousin does call, I will tell him he needs to seek help.
I have enough on my own plate right now and sometimes peace is telling it as it is in life. I can't be the be end all to everyone. Peace comes to me when I have the ability to have my own placement and do what I am doing right now I believe. You never need to hush as I literally do believe in the shares. And the way in life that we treat people is a reflection of whom we are. Peace on earth is a complicated thing. For myself I love to live within simplicity if that makes sense.

    Hugs to you....

  8. Halloween is much different now, I think that for the areas of the large cities most go to shopping centers and relatives. Lyn I am definitely catching up on my relaxation. A great weekend to you as well. We shall see what happens....:)

  9. Nice PowerPoint presentation.
That's what real peace means to me - staying calm in the midst of chaos, the kind of peace that only God can give.

    Have a great weekend! =)

  10. Happy Halloween Jack & I loved the Power Point. Peace is what we all strive for in this life & it would be lovely to believe that it will come to the whole world one day. Meantime, all we can do is find that peace within ourselves & try to do what we can to give others peace of mind where we can, by example. Peace to you my friend & may you have a great weekend- Hugs

  11. G'day Jack,
In a way I am pleased we don't celebrate Holloween here (well some do ) but there is no way we could keep sweets in the house long enough to give to children even if the dog let them in the yard to knock on the door. grin...,put your feet up and think nice thoughts and let tomorrow take care of itself when it arrives

  13. I enjoyed the power point presentation. Thank you for sharing it.
Yesterday, being Halloween, kids came to the door as they have been doing since we've been here. In total, I gave treats to about 45 kids, ranging from babies to teens. I enjoy doing that. I comment on their costumes and the ones who are not afraid of dogs pet Dexter and he loves the attention. My only problem is that I ran out of candy arund 7:30. My husband, convinced that we would have just a handful of kids come by, bought less treats than we normally do. So I had to tell the last ones that came that they were getting just a piece each because that was all I had. Guess who will be buying the candy next year? I will. ;-) It was fun just the same but the pleasure was somewhat shorter.
