I never was one that conformed to the ordinary. I literally have been on here within the greatest time as well as the hardest of times. But this is the way of life you flow with whatever is within your own sphere of life as I believe. Being raised catholic and placed within my own youth within an art form that was taught by way of a gentleman by the name of Ariff Mehtor - I literally have always been merged within several ethnicities and that was within New York as a child.
I went on and at the age of 17 was the first to be teaching this art. Meanwhile my father had retired to Canada. Fortunate for me I started my own dojo which I was given all the mats and everything by way of the town. As they wanted to keep there kids off the streets and have something to engage in that was of worth.
I think that some have seen a few of my friends - all of which were students of mine but there came a time that I went into work and business and put things aside. Two impressions made me return back to my roots. One was when I returned back from NYC to Canada and the other was music.
Offline many of my friends and collegues always thought that I should be doing one or the other. I just by way of choice decided to go about doing the ordinary things. Yet ordinary is anything but me as I have always stood by what I do. I don't waiver too much on things yet within the flow I am flexible. It's an ethic that stands within what is known as the way which in Japanese means "Do".
I write and I have watched some things that have went on and I am certain that anyone that has watched anything that I do. Is literally seeing good ethics with value being done. I have always been a "realized perfectionist". But that is just my way. I flow with it all and I am not anyone literally but myself - I don't have to push....
I don't have to merge...
I don't have to associate...
But I do believe that there is a meaning within it all. Hence, I do find the enjoyment with those that have a sensibility to them, which is as I call it within the blogosphere. Within the sphere of life it's a cycle. You placement is your own choice and what ever you do by way of choice is your own perogative. We all do have those things in which we call our "own".
For me in no manner is there anything contradictory. You don't mention everything on a blog but yet you do associate just as we do within life. And even within life we all have our own "areas/spheres" the bring about good influnce.
Good influence is great food for thought and really my foundation of life is based on many things. The centre of it all is based on where I stand - the foundation of life if you will. As far as an all encompassed life, with the exception to being without a wife, I am fine. As I have my own values, ethics and a foundation from which I was raised on and both of them service me well.
I literally don't miss all that much as when you are within harmony with you structure of being (faith). You really are within the moment. For the one that has to prove something is the one that has a need. There are many that may have a need for whatever that reason is. As I have been through it myself, but the merits of life and what you are and what is becoming is all within the flow of life and how you make your choices.
My choice is a varied one as I love to write on many things. Maybe we all are reflections of each other as we all are human beings within the making and creating. There is never one person that is better than another...
My own reflection...within a fluid manner.
Beautiful ... :)))
ReplyDeleteyoure such a good soul Jack..wonderful words...
ReplyDeleteIt is what it is and within the essence of it all it really is my own philosophy and something that I do abide by.
ReplyDeleteDeep and nice.
ReplyDeleteI am not two people or three nor is anyone else....when we bring down the walls and have that understanding we find our own way within life and it's much more gratifying than taking it too the bank...
ReplyDeleteNow I know more about you :) Thanks for sharing, Jack.
ReplyDeleteRefreshing to find how similar our feelings are...even though our experiences are different. Thanks again for expressing a few of your depths for all of us to share.

Thanks for telling us more about yourself!
ReplyDeleteNice
ReplyDeleteWe all have our own unique stories with regards to what makes up whom we are.
ReplyDeleteNice to read about you , uniqueness is good. Yesterday when I was out walking in the quietness I felt like I was so at peace with myself and nature and I remember being perhaps a little different as a child in the fact that I have always loved quiet walks and time to just enjoy the beauty of it all. Now that the children are grown and I have more time I return to that more and more..nature speaks to my heart and soul and inspires me.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing about some of your inspirations
Knowing oneself takes time. Knowing ourselves, the good sides as well as our limitations, is a blessing.
ReplyDeleteAn elder woman said recently: I think there must be one big mistake about human beings, and that is: We are born with no life experience. If I, as 17 years old, had known what I now know as 70..it would have made such a difference!
Well written.
ReplyDeleteA great write my friend, i really have to look up to you and also admire you toox

ReplyDeleteI have never done any martial arts, never been one to be very physical as far as excercise either. But, I have thought quite a bit about getting into yoga as I feel it would benefit my back and loosen up tight muscles and strengthen weak ones.
Thanks for sharing this Jack! I have a great deal of respect for people who can break my bones or stop my breath with a kick or punch! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI am currently living in a cultural where being yourself is not the norm. It has made come to appreciate just how special being unique is. Who want to be like everyone else? :)
