These two where of a flock of twelve. For the life of me if you can picture someone trying to get a picture that last time I talking english to geese was, well lets just say you do what you have to do.
For the life of me they would walk away come back, I went to another group of four then I thought to myself that I am going to spend and hour just to get a shot.
I should have just placed on my video recorder and showed what I was doing and I am sure many would have a laugh but I guess I forgot some crumbs maybe as I have had better luck with rabbits and birds. Well I guess a goose is a bird.
Meanwhile they were probably saying "Where <honk> does this guy <honk> get off?" A name for them Tom and Jerry yeah something like that.
The largest sign of spring first is these geese - next is the monarch butterfly. I dig the green. As everything now is coming along well and you just can beat that.
they are an adorable pair !
ReplyDeleteSign of spring for sure. We have monarchs here too but they are orange
ReplyDeleteOh they were Annette!
ReplyDeleteMia yes it is..."quack" is a language that only they know....:)
ReplyDeleteHonk Honkl!!!
ReplyDeleteMitch its coming up to 12 here - to be this one goes, I am not sure how that would be said in goose language!
ReplyDeleteBut you know whot?
It's all good...
They are great! Thanks for stopping by and commenting :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww - love shots like this Jack! Only after I regularely began taking pictures, I truly looked around, and I discovered what life is like - all over again. It has made a huge difference for me, but I should be out much, much more - I know it only too well - lol
ReplyDeleteHere in southers Norway we are a little bit ahead of you when it comes to "spring" I think. Its at its best here now, the leaves are just out and a few flowers have begun blooming.
But the geese haven flown over the house yet, Im sure they will come, the swans too, in a few days now.
Enjoy the days to come my friend. GBU.
Anne
I sure they thought you were stalking them....
ReplyDeleteMaybe they figured "no food no picture"
ReplyDeleteMost welcome with an early coffee at hand....
ReplyDeleteAnne, yeah it was a funny endeavour and the seasons here are not the natural four seasons say that one would get in one two levels closer to th e equator however this morning is grand and I have two ventures to make and believe it or not there was a picture perfect shot I have on here with a view from the river and right now there are pelicans there.
ReplyDeleteNot looking to chase anymore birds for a while. I have come to find that Canadian Geese are one that seemingly have the best of both worlds and if you done have something for them then they are not going to give you anything in return....:).
Me, if only you heard the nice words said to them Chris, "here hi you, do you want your picture taken".
ReplyDeleteStalk is one that keeps on and one with doing something. I tried - lol...
Then again upon leaving I did mumble some thing to myself...:)
A great day to you Chris...
Yuppers Lynn - who was to know that they were going to be there and that to buy some crackers.
ReplyDeleteI did not, but there was this guy that was laying on a bench that had been there overnight which might have know this. But I did not wake him up to ask him.
i'M SURE THEY DON'T MIND BEING CALLED TOM AND JERRY.LOL
ReplyDeleteHAVE A GOOD NIGHT AND A GREAT DAY TOMORROW.SEEYA
