Hi!

I was raised in the Eastern United states and went back - but then came back before September 11th. I enjoy the variety of people as I truly love to write and I know that my last write was perhaps not eye candy. But it was somthing that underneath all that we do and the luxuries that we have - there is a change and denial that is going on right now I think in several areas of United States. I can say that as I never left the US for any reason other that for a situation that happened within my family.

This weekend in Canada it's Victory day. Here is were I ponder on how many do know what that is? We embrace one country whereas I believe in embracing other countries - especially the people. Yet I think we have come such great miles ahead, or was it just something that we thought was - and really it's the same old thing.

Here is where I come in and say it's not where your from - it's where your head and soul are at as do enjoy this from not one vantage but several learn vantages. Yet I am still learning.

Life is about the ability to not judge, but more so in how to gain an understanding and learn from it all. We live on this globe and ever person that is within it has that right of being human. I really don't know any other way to put it.

Not a "know it all", just one that writes as do you.

Peace,

Jack

  5. How do the people of Canada celebrate Victory Day?

  6. Susan it's something that goes back with the old traditional ties with the crown and how we celebrate it is with family and with friends. We really are our own country and as time goes on it's a tradition that like many other countries still exists but it's not how it used to be as far as say two generations ago.

I think it's just there for people to enjoy the three day weekend now a days...

  7. we all judge others to some extent, it's human nature, the key is be aware when it happens and try to refrain

  8. I assume that you're speaking of the victory over the Nazis? In the U.S., some people forget that Russia was an ally.

  10. Hi Jack... I think maybe you have a mispell in your blog. This weekend is Victoria Day weekend not Victory weekend in Canada
Victoria Day celebrates Queen Victoria's birthday (May 24th). Canada is still a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, of which the Queen is head. This is the earliest that we've celebrated Victoria Day.

  13. Hi Jack, We had Armed Forces Day on Saturday. So little mention in the media to honor our military. I always enjoy what you have to say. Another week is about to begin. Enjoy it. Take care, Sandy
