I was UP early this morning and I wanted to get a sunrise.
Meanwhile I did the shopping, I noticed that there were still the geese that should by now all be gone but I think they are mixed up as there it's still green. Then from there I headed to the University football stadium and a setup is taking place and it's the Western finals - and I was able to get the local and national broadcasting service called the CBC to allow me UP to take a few pictures while they were preparing since 5am.
The university here has a football team that is called the Huskies and you can see the mascot for the team here. All done this morning between 8am and 10am. Then as I was like the geese - I was mixed up as I was freezing as it was a rather cold morning as well as day - mind you for this time of year it could be much worse.
I got the card from Mark whom is a freelance Audio Visual person and they have followed some of my pictures and I may do some freelance work for them.
But on the weekend it's just an easy going day.
Love the shots!!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Thanks Kay....
ReplyDeleteI like this one! very cool shot with the seeds in the foreground, red from the rays of the sun.
ReplyDeleteWe have mixed-up Canadian geese that stay here all year round now. :~D
ReplyDeletegorgeous sunrise!
ReplyDeleteOhhh, that's pretty...
ReplyDeleteFrani, I have literally seen them all leaving and this morning I was amazed to see them while I was en route to get groceries. I though all of them by now had left. You would think they have an inner compass as I have read earlier.
ReplyDeleteInteresting angle shot.
ReplyDeleteawesome, it would be fun to be behind one of those, just to get the feel of it, and what it can do!
ReplyDeleteHa,ha,ha...He is a mighty mad guy.
ReplyDeleteI was out and I just threw on clothes and wanted to get it in a digit manner where I could get the stages but unfortunately Deb it was really very cold - yet it was fun. I have one friend that is on the western side of the city but I didn't want to wake her up as she is an older family friend - but she lived on the 13th level that this would truly be amazing to do in phases. I love the morning sun. And now it's just rising at 7:30 am.
ReplyDeleteIts just gorgeous by just looking at them playing playfully Jack.
ReplyDeletePainful shot - Frani, there was another set of stair that I had climbed down and needless to say at this time. I really should not be doing it but within the morning I wanted to get a few shots in this was going down the second set of ordinary stairs. But I loved the angle for some reason.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant
ReplyDeleteDeb, I have had the chance and it's too much fun....not with this today but I have but really when it comes down to it we all are doing the same thing with our own cameras.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was hoot! It was literally freezing this moring and everyone has a hat on. I never bothered with it and well it's the first thing that came to mind when I got home and then went back out. :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if they were playing or complaining saying " Quack, we made a mistake".....they were just slipping and sliding I didnt bother to walk down as they would have all flown off.
ReplyDeleteThey were cold and like I mentioned most of them now have already left and where was the inner compass with these guys! :)
Thanks Frank I was waiting and waiting for the sun to rise appropriately and to be just at the right place where there is a good vantage.
ReplyDeleteI love this one better ... when the sun is just about to rise ... I was onced experienced sun rise while travelling... it was heaven seeing different colours against the fields ... from then on I tried seeing it every morning, while doing my early brisks~jogs and a little round of badminton with friends here.
ReplyDeleteTruly heavenly.
A blessed happy Sunday Jack! :)))
... wait Jack, i'll go first to the baking section and get somethings for myself ... need tartar for my choco cookies ... [laughs]
ReplyDeleteLOL - this was the needs but I coupled the morning with wants...:)
ReplyDeleteOhh I wanna' be a star Jack ...
ReplyDeletehmmm ... oh jack, take care! There's no need for you to climb to get a better angle ... your ribs, your knees ... remember. I want to see you in pieces! Gosh! [smilesss] ...
oh oh the fireworks ... love it Jack!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll give you a hug sweetie! But please cover that big teeth! Can't stand that ... scary ... [laughs]
ReplyDeleteIt shall be hoot but right now I will not be there to see them, but this fellow with the CBC is going to send me a video by way of email and some pics - I hope!
ReplyDeleteThis is just university football and god they are going to have one very cold night to play!
Gosh! Wait for me there Jack ... I'll catch the next bus to get there and see the fireworks ... !!!!!!!!! [laughs]
ReplyDeleteGot to have some supper and shall be back and wish to read others writes. "When that shark bites" - well this guy is not Mac the Knife :)
ReplyDeletelove this shot
ReplyDeleteJoyce the one that is truly author what do you see within it in a few words?
ReplyDelete-----> have to grab some food will be back.
The angle of the shot is what caught my attention at first. Now that I "zoomed in", I see so much more. An entire book could be written about all the details: Section 8 (that's a low-income housing term here in the U.S.), the number 10...oh Lordy could I take that to a hundred different levels, the empty stands, the Co-op sign, the sun glistening off the bench seats, the cleanliness of the stands...there is just so much here. It's a fabulous photo.
ReplyDeleteYou do have that gift with words there Joyce...
ReplyDeleteThat's what people keep telling me.
ReplyDeleteYeah it does illustrates all within your writes and I like looking at your recent blog on your design for your book when I just logged on here tonight. Kudos to you there Joyce.
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great blog....thought I would throw this in...

Luv ya, Jack!
ReplyDeleteBack as ya it's all within the shares - why not! :)
ReplyDeleteYes...sharing is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteYeah I am just reading and as well thinking of what to write. One can look at one picture an literally write about it or there are so many areas, but I literally step outdoors and come back in and think about what I wish to write. For me right now it's an enjoyable thing and well, from the old days of Y360, I enjoy this and the simplist thing can bring about so many things from which to write about.
ReplyDeleteAnd the share are good as well, it's really an open door of ones thoughts and interests. As you might remember it's all within the "why nots"...
Nice set Jack!
ReplyDeleteIs that a Royal Caribbean thing???
ReplyDeleteJoyce back within Y360 times my theme was "Why Not"at the bottom of my page...
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancie...
ReplyDeleteNorthern Canadian sunrises are often more spectacular than the sunsets. I remember that from going to get the eggs and feed the animals after the kids went on the school bus. I sometimes felt like the display was a present just for me as there was no one else around for miles.
ReplyDeleteHey Karyn, yeah in Yorkton I remember going there and staying at my aunt's place every two years and every morning it would be sitting at the table with folks that would all come from other farms and the first thing was to place the food out for the cats and then she would send me off to milk the cows with my cousin Karrie....it's so coincidental that you were from Yorkton....btw...Monday is your Birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they know something that we don't know?
ReplyDeletevery nice
ReplyDeletelooks like it is going to be a beautiful day!
ReplyDeletelol, looks like a few fillings in there ;P
ReplyDeleteLOL that all said have a great eve...
ReplyDeleteThe do have an inner compass - actually in many ways each on of us does....it's all within harmony.
ReplyDeleteI need some harmony right about now....my back is acting up on me. It started bothering me the other night at work....and it's still there, I am walking around like I have a stick up my butt or something!
ReplyDeletegreat pics!! seems like it was a very nice morning!
ReplyDeletelt
The sunrise photos are beautiful, and I love the mascot ones too!
ReplyDeletegreat shots!
ReplyDeleteYeah hi there YOU! :) The chap has yet to email me the pictures of the game but that was a cold day. Whereas today was up to 16c...which is around 55F I think.
