When I first started this blog I learned quickly that I could not get back to everyone that wrote something on my guest book. I have had several people ask me to open it up. Why have I kept my guest book closed?
Now please don't think I am the grinch and that's not the case at all but I opened it but there is always a return factor. Yes I do think when I get on here and the first probably is on how to set this blog up. It's rather basic as you can see, but I guess it's a getting to know people but now and then I have always thought that the writing content is of more worth than the guest book.
But there is an oopsy for Jack as I have been to others and after reading if I don't have much to say I will usually leave something on there guest book.
I ponder when they were making up these blogs what the intention of someone placing a guest book on. It's like a quick remark I suppose. So I shall try it again - why not. The one thing that I realize is where that there are some that I have missed in reading and this may be a way from which to know that the contacts are really out there. :)
That's what the guest book is for! So his is a very smart decision, Jack!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I know some who it makes it easy to comment--like I'm on pick up your IM. Or whatever.
ReplyDeleteBut I know what you mean, I am not on everyday and getting back to all can be hard. And some it is just hello. Not that that isn't nice but I don't work with a computer and between life, mail and people I talk to --it can take more time than I have. I can see where that has merit.
Now I don't know which is better.
Let us know how it works out for you, please
Take care
I ALWAYS have something to say....LMBO....
ReplyDeleteOh my I admitted it...I dont think Im ever at a loss for words unless im sick...If im not laughing, joking, or smiling; my Doc knows im sick...and Im not joking now...Im dead serious.... The one time I came to see him like that I didnt have any makeup on, I was in jogging pants, and had my hair pulled back and I was throwing up...The Doc called the rescue squad...I WAS SICK....
When I first met him, I warned him of my personality. He laughed but then he learned I was correct...He laughs about it now...
Hope you enjoy your guestbook. I simply adore people in most every way. I dont think Ive ever met a stranger.
Good Night...
I am in favor of the guest books, as you know. Sometimes we don't always have time to get around to every blog and read them. Quick comments make it easy to still let friends know you are thinking about'em and such.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you should feel pressured to respond to each greeting. Just have fun with it!
I agree with VARAINY.I can only access my pages in the morning before I leave for work.
ReplyDeleteThen I visit friend's blogs on weekends.
Guestbooks keeps the connection.
You can set it to NO HTML ALLOWED so in a way friends will be talking to you rather than sending you EMPTY graphics without a WORD.
I think that the guest book...at least for me....is a way of letting someone know that I am thinking about them. And I don't EXPECT an answer back...so I'm good :) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHaving 47 kids (neighborhood hangs out at my place lol) 2 businesses 3 houses and 2 cats don't always leave me much time to read all the blogs/chat. I do try my best but for the days I cant.... Its a nice way of communicating a hug. Or a way of commenting on a comment ... or thanking for a comment or just plain leaving a calling card hehehe. Like your friend Cola said .... setting up NO HTML codes is preferable. Not just a matter of empty graphics (tho yes... most are annoying at best) but HTML can hide nasty stuff also.
ReplyDeleteHey you get to use MY guest book .... whats good for the gander is good for the goose! *wink*
I start out with good intentions to go to my friend's blogs and read them. i promise myself I will visit every one of them during the week. I am here because of that promise! Haha ... but it is so hard to find the time and energy to sit here and stay on my puter that long. The will is there, but the spirit just won;t comply ... I always have too much stuff to do Excuses excuses, huh?! I do like the guestbook, it is fun to read what people have left for me, I find it so interesting! I know they were thinking o me at that moment and I like that. I think you made a good decision to allow us the freedom to visit and just say hi if we want ...
ReplyDeleteYeah I saw this last night in the settings...I am not into html in a quest book.
ReplyDeleteSee here is the thing I am or would be responding back at a different time...as right now it's the evening, but I have not looked at the guest book yet lol - a great day to you!
ReplyDeleteWow that is a write !!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha oui/ yes!!!!! lol Mimi you are terrific!
ReplyDeleteIronic says I! As for me I usually had something from which to write and then thereafter I would attempt to see a few people and right now at this time I know what I can do on here and what I can't. I don't think it's an excuse I think it's the options that one has in life.
ReplyDeleteI am going to try it there are some out there that I have taken off as - for example there is one friendd that has only 4 good friends. I used to go and search around based on what the writing content was and I took it from there and would invite, but for the ones that have 500 members or contacts - I don't know how they do it - I certainly could not.
I like this option if "hi", as Mimi mentioned I have done it with others and it's a nice gesture - why not.
I feel there is merit in writing and as well as not going too others that have allowed me on as a contact. But this is the time that I am not going to pressure within it all. Sounds very wise Norma as always...
