I remember a number of years ago I was sitting in the den in front of the computer and there was dead silence outside. It was the middle of March and we were in a deep freeze. Ya just never know....... It's been below normal all winter and the constant cold without much of a break is very wearing on a person. People are starting to act strange. *L* Stay warm, Jack.
I feel for you - way too cold! Im maybe making somebody wish they were here in southern Norway right now, but I see the spring flowers are struggeling to come up here already - what we call crocus and the small tulips are on their way. Hope we dont get any more snow now then ! Then it might ble some more weeks to wait.
Well I have never seen it go from one extreme to another but the day is done and I thought today was Friday - go figure! All things are completed and it's been a very productive week! Now it's "me" time.
Usually right now it starts and according to the weather forecast starting in two days it will be much milder. I recall at the beginning of March where it was already plus 15 Celsius which I think would be about plus 56 in Fahrenheit.
I could see that from your page Anne as well the Turkish plane that went down that I saw the other day despite not knowing what section of Norway it went down and crashed ....I could see that there was no snow there. By the way you have nice pictures it's very interesting to see animals that are the likes of what are here but they are something different there. This year here has been an up and down with the temperature as well as the snow usually there is a consistency that you can be prepared for but not this year.
Been the my best friend lives there and he is actually on this blog but I am not sure if he ever or has had to turn off some of his "want's right now. But this is just temporary in the summer and spring it's nice....smiling with you.
I can't even imagine temperatures that far below zero! Makes me shiver just to think about it. Ummm, I suppose this mightn't be a good time to announce we had a beautiful day today, huh? I got to get the grandson out for a walk. Supposed to start raining tonight and rain thru Saturday. Had to get out and enjoy while the getting was good! I hope springtime finds your area soon, Jack.
If not I will find it! In at this temperature you have to take that frame of mind Norma! It was a beautiful day as there was no wind and the sun was out and if there was anyone that was on my blog that was from here I am sure they would indicate the same. And I think that I might have one that is a student here at the University of Saskatchewan. We shall see..
Smiling - I hope that we have this exchange in the summer. As you will see pictures that look much like over there in Virginia...lets wait and see what happens.
Looking forward to seeing the spring and summer pictures. Am hoping to get back up into the Blueridge Mountains and take more up there. There's so much territory I haven't yet captured on camera. Will be fun to compare the areas.
You have a very nice home and yard. Charlie it looks really what it's like here all the time in winter we usually in this part of Canada just have a inch of snow and then we do have what is known as a dry cold. Which is different to British Colombia which you may know of probably and is very different to the Ontario/Quebec climate where they are used to having much snow.
Here it does get cold in January typically and then starts to gradually warm up it's still dark out here and today is my day off so, I may be going out before the sun comes up.
You and your wife have a very nice home as well as children - the best too you both...
You are generous, my new friend. thank you. Looking at many of your photos,I see the keenness of your perception, and your capacity for finding the beauty in a thing. I do not take your compliments lightly.
