Well I had a scan today on my knees and there after I went to my old residence, it had a church contained within it as it was a theology collegue despite most all of us back then were only there for the dwellings of living within the res. The food was not bad, it was terrible, but how interesting it was to go back and see this place. We used to go hide in the church as it was hardly used and study for finals and the things we got away with!
Thereafter I headed to a place called "The Broadway". It's a historical theater that is owned by the community. I had to look at the mixer and if only there was instruments and I would have been in heaven.
As well there is one picture here that I remember how we used to hate getting up to go off to class every morning - I never ate breakfast, it tasted like.......:) But I did get to class back then. Most of all I loved what we all the small library that was on three floors and how we would get lost in there and study half the time and do pranks that only take place in dorms...
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful glass, I am surprised with how contemporary the church appears, not about pagentry or frills to have this included. Looks almost Quaker in it's plain-ness.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot.
ReplyDeleteNorma, it's a chapel that was part of this dorm that I lived in during my first year of university, after I had xrays of my knees, I went about doing a few visits to places I wanted to go back and see. Ironically, how we thought of it as a place to lay in the seats and different area's along with what is we called the "staks", which was this mini library for theology students.
ReplyDeleteLyn, I have never been to German but I forget the name of some of the cathedrals there that one friend of mine that went there to see. Stained glass with colors is something that I is really elegant in lack of better words...
ReplyDeleteI love this one as it is what we called the stacks...three floors all in all. It was nice to be able to leave your room in the midst of the evening and go down in your sweats and find others there as well. Eating chips and studying for exams. Yet I did not expect this to take as well as it did but for myself I find it says several things...
ReplyDeleteI meant the church looked plain not the stained glass, it looks very beautiful.

ReplyDeletebeautiful glass window..
ReplyDeleteWow, I got a personal audio reply. Thanks Jack.
ReplyDeleteHi Lyn, I just arrived home and glad you could hear it. Now and then it's nice to be able to say something within the sound...
ReplyDeleteThere is something to do with colors I believe...I am not agnostic, nor am I overly religious, but I find that this was a nice picture that I took while I went to see my old residence/dorm that we never went to do anything but study in. Yet it is nice, if you can see the sun is trying to cast it's rays in just at the very bottom.
ReplyDeleteThank you to you there in Jakarta...
Oh, those are beautiful photos...that is a place for reflection and meditation!
ReplyDeleteSue long time no see! Yes indeed it is it's actually something in which I am enjoying as I go about my day. ~ Why Not ~
ReplyDeleteWhat were you attending a first year for?
ReplyDeleteI majored in Psychology and minored in Economics, then I went to Syracuse University two years later to take additional courses in management.
ReplyDeleteI am not a psychologist in practice in any stretch of the imagination. I have learned more by way of travelling than text books.
