An Art form that originated from China and has been practiced for centuries.
It falls within the category of martial arts yet every morning within China thousands of people awake and partake in a meditative art form.
Since that time it's come to be an art that is practice around the world.
this is very popular with teen boys here,in europe
ReplyDeleteIt really is around the world Caroline. I found it rather neat to see these people practicing and I had seen a group doing the same within my back yard within Edmonton two years ago. For some odd reason these load rather different but
ReplyDeleteI would surmise that there would be nearly over half a million the endeavor with
this art form - I never saw it as a martial art - yet more of a relaxation method.
But it goes back thousands of years.
yes it is a wonderful practice to increase one's mindfulness.
ReplyDeleteWhile I was young I kid you not I loved reading on Eastern philosophy to the extent that I built up a library of over 300 books. While I was living in a city called Edmonton many of my neighbors where of Chinese decent and ever evening they would be out there doing Tai Chi Chuan. It was so fluid.

It's a mind and body and soul in constant harmony. It is the slow but sure movement that i love everytime am seeing them in the park. Obviously harmony plays a big part on it.
