From a car accident which left here as a paraplegic. In many ways, I see her as a person, which really would be of the sort to be on one of these websites like ted.com.
She has that will and no matter what nothing shall come within her way. I am sure that over the span of five years, this probably did take much – yet her determination took here to where she is now. Merit is something, which is so often wrote about. I believe she instills what we all deem as belief. As her belief, structure took her to where she is now. There was much more with this but she rendered the ability to walk her talk. She does not think of the past and what is lost she thinks more of what is of opportunity. What a privilege. When you think you have it so bad this might be up there with that appreciation of goals.
She is the top of my charts without any apprehension. She thrives within her life her first name is Becky and I believe she certain has done many things and survived many hardships to get to where she is now.
Kudos to her...
Very cool post, Jack... I can hardly imagine how I would adjust to such a life change. My bro has been a quad since 2004 and still performs in a band playing the harmonica and he runs a company for his car cleaning products...amazes me.
ReplyDeleteIt is great to see a person that does not let life's obstacles hold them back.
ReplyDeleteGreat holiday post..........she freed herself from pain and fear! Kudos to her!
ReplyDeleteAs she said, it took her a while to get where she is now. There is a lot of dealing (with your new situation) to do I'm sure. Like any hardship, some people will wallow and some will rise above. Great for her!
ReplyDeletecertainly she is an inspiration for us all. Great.
ReplyDeleteYet she thinks without obstacles and ironic as it may be she does rather than not.
ReplyDeleteAn assumption, as I have a fine situation - there are no comparitives here Summers.
ReplyDeleteFor her it symbolizes what can be rather than not.
Thanks for going out there and showing us such persons of inner strength and stamina, Jack. It reminds me of how rewarding and better life can be if we push aside our own lesser obstacles and get out there.
ReplyDeleteI was speaking generally, not refering to you specifically if that is what you mean. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know - no worries as your one that does achieve things within a thoughtful manner Summers.
ReplyDeleteDoug there are many one of which is Elvin Law - he was born in a way that I never
ReplyDeleteunderstood till my older brother told me what he had. Now he is a motivational speaker.
This is his page and he literally has done so well.

Five years ago, I would gather it didnt come in a day but she was a determined one.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first came into Canada he was one of the first of which my older brother introduced to me.
ReplyDeleteBack then I didnt really understand it but years later I did. Alvin examplifies what can be as to what
can't be. To this day he is a motivational speaker.
she is an inspiration to everyone .!
ReplyDeleteYes and she is one of many Caroline. This morning while I had the time, I literally
ReplyDeletepulled over and engaged with her and she certainly does not sit on the fence.
To me or for myself, it inspires me to go to the next level within fitness, health,
and all that comes along with it. I can imagine how those five years where but then
look where she is now.
a beautiful tribute amigo----and a powerful reminder of how all of us should welcome each moment
ReplyDeleteI think so and the old thought of I had it so bad when I had no shoes until I met a person that had no legs certainly does exist.
ReplyDeleteThe commodity of life is that of the making. She does a due diligence and then some.
There is a young lady in our church who exercises with a similar cycle. She was involved in a one-car accident at 18, half her life ago. Left with her intellect complete, but sufficient brain damage to have to relearn all muscle control, she was the subject of a Paul Harvey "Rest Of The Story." She's an awesome personality! These ladies are impressive in their determination, and I appreciate their sharing their stories. Thanks for the introduction!
ReplyDeleteI have had two family members involved in seperate accidents recently. One of them died and the other survived with a broken arm. Life is a precious thing indeed - regardless of any incapacities that you have suffered. Though it can so easily be taken away - under the most ordinary of circumstances.
ReplyDeleteYour most welcome Grammy I have been out as today was the hotest day thus far. Still I have met some of which are like here and the tendancy seems to be a story of their own. From a General in the Air Force, Society. I still do think on this 3rd day of July that she is a great example. There are many great people out there. And I think many render up determination. It's not important where she came from or what she did before. It's more of an example.
ReplyDeletePat yeah my best friend that lives in a small town had both of his parent of which died when he was six years of age. Yet Pat to this day has carried on. One other within his family didn't do so well. But I think the merit is in getting on with things. These are not ordinary yet she was extraordinary within how she took something and went the "golden mile".

ReplyDeletesheer courage and determination is the secret of overcoming any disability , their are people all over this world who despite their injuries just soldier on and put some of us to shame , good luck to those who try because I admire their spirits !
So true Rosie, I don't feel that it's a shame with what we all do but it examplifies courage and determination.
