The Word of the Day is...

SUPER FANTASTIC...

I went in this morning and I met with the Nephrologist that I had last seen three years ago.  I was expecting the worst case scenario as there has always been a fear of my father having to be placed on dialysis or the cancer coming back, or another stroke.  On a fools day, I me with the Dr. Visvanathen and surprisingly he was pleased to see me.

There are some reasons for this but it’s was nice and like a breath of fresh air to see that we could shake hands and he explained to me exactly what he was doing.
He asked me if I ever did go into the medical field – there is some reason for that, but I had told him where I had been and then we just sat down and he brought out his pen
and told me what he was doing.

The entire mechanism that he has assembled around his abdomen would be replaced. He mentioned to me that it was amazing that for some four years that he has
maintained the same functionality with his one kidney while the other is there but does not work. He said that they had decided that with all things considered they
were going back in and replacing the entire mechanism as he has been an atypical encounter to what they have seen within Neuphrology.

He was all ready for the operation and he said “I bet your surprised, and Jack I am not playing no joke on you”.  I told him of the decline in weight but he came
back and said all in all that really the man should not be alive.

So he asked if he has the right to go ahead with it, as well as he said that he well remembers when I brought him in by way of emergency and we we
both smiling. So then I went over to my father’s room where I had no clearance for taking a picture as I have before, but my father just said lets get it done.
So he is well, I called on my cell my mother she was relieved and she could have the entire morning to herself sleeping in. And not being worried as as a
reflex which has always happened during these times she is so worried on how to tend to the financial things in the case of the worse.

The operation took a total of merely two hours. And right now he is on an IV as well as two medications which are anti viral after the procedure with his
stints and all. So things worked our well for him.

As for myself, I took the time to be re acquainted with some of the people as this is one of a few hospitals here.

For those of you that are friends from long ago - I still wish you the best and it's a good day worth sharing. I headed over to see how my mother was doing thereafter
have had some pictures on here that I have not place on for some times so I shall.

  5. Yes they did Lyn...

So it's all balanced for them. I am glad for that. Ironically the day at one of the three hospitals here that I used to know so many with all his medical ordeals really made it a pleasure - I was not expecting that. Not at all...

  7. After knowing I was fine with it all Lyn. Some don't wish to know on matters as such and then I believe that when you do know and are informed it gives way to planning and that is much more relaxing - believe you me.

  10. Thank you Doug - he shall and now everyone can relax. Right now I know tomorrow when I see him if there is any baseball game on or even if there is a station that is playing any games he will be watching it. I don't follow it but it's something he loves.

love and light (have always ended blogs and comments with this phrase) - it is not meant to be religious at all, just meant to be a positive and uplifting statement
