Your voice
Was that of one of a kind
The sound, beauty
Coupled with your dimplish smile
Beyond the door there is a peace for you I am sure
From a deep rooted musical Family
Your voice was first and foremost
Then you came to the screen
A household name you became
Beyond the door there is a peace for you I am sure
A voice perhaps was your instrument
Of which hit the highest notes
A well trained singer
Who brought about the best
Setting you apart from the rest
Beyond the door there is a peace for you I am sure
Your exit from the scene
Only came to be realized
By way of the exploitive tabloids
Fame does come with a price
Beyond the door there is a peace for you I am sure
You announced your come back
Everyone was elated
For many there was the deep desire
To hear again the voice
The one which enriched our lives
With the voice
Beyond the door there is a peace for you I am sure
Now you can sing with the angels
Yet you did leave us much too fast
While we digest the memories
Of a voice, legend whose songs
Shall remain within our souls
May you rest in peace Whitney

Beyond the door there is a peace for you I am sure...Now you can sing with the angels...
ReplyDeleteShe's now far from so much unhappiness she faced in her life, when I think about Whitney I can't avoid remember how abused she was by her husband.
Love can destroy a life....indeed.
There is an mp3 here and I decided to do a tribute to her within my own manner.
ReplyDeleteI thought for a little and then wished to combine the tribute with the an upside.
It's a void of a day within the entertainment world. Who really knows the situation.
But there were so many posts on the internet that I thought I would make my own.
I did hesitate as I was doing it as I loved here music. Thus the poem Elaine.
I wanna dance with somebody was the first time I hear one of her songs and
I thought she was right up there dimples and with a vibrancy. I believe the song
came from here first album.
Absolutely beautiful tribute Jack :) May she rest in peace now.
ReplyDeleteVery touching.
ReplyDeletea wonderful singer..
ReplyDeleterip

ReplyDeleteA beautiful tribute to an beautiful lady with a angelic voice---words worthy of song themselves.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jack.
I thought it was fitting Cinn.
ReplyDeleteThanks Faye as I just flowed with it in tribute.
ReplyDeleteCertainly so Caroline.
ReplyDeletePamela, I wrote five versions, and then decided to post it.
ReplyDeleteShe was a talent but life does move on but she did impact
so many. Now she is back in New Jersey.
She certainly was and I was writing with music within mind.
ReplyDeleteThere were so many things that one could write. I am not
sure Doug who was within that timeframe where you would
head to a night club and when you walked in back then
you would hear her and you knew it was going to be
a good night. I know I am inclined to music.
She was great and sometimes it's beyond words
but for myself there was a connection with her.
And may she rest in peace.
am really am sad.
ReplyDeleteMay she finally rest in peace together with the angels singing praises for God alone.
