Peter Frampton - I want you to show me the Way

I wonder how you're feeling
There's ringing in my ears
And no one to relate to 'cept the sea
Who can I believe in?
I'm kneeling on the floor
There has to be a force
Who do I call?
The stars are out and shining
But all I really want to know

Oh won't you show me the way, every day
I want you to show me the way, yeah

Well, I can see no reason
You're living on your nerves
When someone drops a cup and I submerge
I'm swimming in a circle
I feel I'm going down
There has to be a fool to play my part
Someone thought of healing
But all I really want to know

Oh won't you show me the way, every day
I want you to show me the way, oh
I want you day after day, yeah

Yeah, I wonder if I'm dreaming
I feel so unashamed
I can't believe this is happening to me
I watch you when you're sleeping
And then I want to take your love

Oh won't you show me the way, every day
I want you to show me the way, one more time
I want you day after day, yeah
I want you day after day, hey

I want you to show me the way, every day
I want you to show me the way, night and day
I want you day after day

  1. Peter Frampton! Yeah! He either just played at the casino in Ruidoso, or is going to this spring. I can't recall when I saw the promotion on tv. I'd really love to go see him. And usually tickets to these oldies events are reasonable.

    Good one, Jack.

  5. He probably does, too. Runs in my family, so I know how the guys feel. My dad just joked about it. My one nephew shaved his head rather than keep fighting. Another one just ignores it. I thank God it doesn't affect the females -- I think I'd just shave my head and dress outrageously.

that was quite a good song though... despite the vocoder bits! Thanks Jack

  13. It's not that easy on a wireless...as it's slow but I have loved Peter Frampton since his first live album. I believe he resides in
Cinncinatti now and to here this song again - wow Becky it's a trip into the past.

  15. No that is what is called a voice box and Peter really brought it to the attention of many.
He started off touring as a kid with the Rolling Stones when he was just a young kid and
then within the 70's he came into his own. As well, he writes is own lyrics.
Currently he has a new cd out...

  17. Thanks Elaine, he was not that influencial but while in the prime of his era all
his concerts were a sell out. He has been on tour there to Brazil I believe five years
    ago.

  18. Theresa when my brother first took me to see KISS at the War Memorial Arena the
rumor back then was that he was the back up band - tickets were sold out with hours
back then. Yet Peter playing along on tour with KISS was just a rumour. I would have
loved to see him back then. Fortunate you!

  19. More than often we have commonalities Pamela. I love the part where
he goes on the voice box and says, "do you feeeeel - liiiiike I do?"
And as I have just logged on here - THATS ALRIGHT. :)

  24. Yeah Multiply had to do some maintenance. A lot of avatars were missing this morning. Now it looks as though the planets are in their proper orbits again.
