The End of a News Era

Lloyd Robertson

Yesterday eve marked the ending of a legendary newscaster anchorman of CTV News signed off last night after 40 years of reporting his name is Lloyd Robertson. At the age of 77 he came to be known within most ever household to those in Canada.

The the longest anchorman in all of Canada - from the headquarters in Toronto he came into the homes of most all Canadians from Newfoundland to British Colombia. I thought I would make a post as he and another news anchorman by the name of Peter Mansbridge are more than likely two which Canadians have come to feel that they know. Robertson I would guess is the longest newscaster in the history of reporting in Canada.

  6. Rosie ironically the news in Canada originated by way of the BBC to then the CBC. I don't know if
over there you ever heard of this man but literally most all in Canada knew him and now he has stepped
down. As well I bid you a great weekend over there.

  8. Very simple man and yet with especially many they grew up with him. So I made a short post but a decent fellow. Many of these old timers are now stepping down...but hey at 77 years of age and the span of which he anchored there are more good memories than otherwise. No just within the news but seemingly he was exceptional within his time.
