~ You've Got A Friend ~

Thus It Is

Within the days and within all the times
From all the arrays
Within spaces as well as places
The souls of each are in a cadence
Kindness and love as precious as it is
Is strong with the depths of each
One looks up into the skies
And comes to realize
That within this universe
And with all the stars
Souls are encountered
The reflection of the stars
Come to shine
The one thing that can be certain
Is within all lands and all people
A common thread does occur
As within the very moment
Everyone does have that
Care with the efforts of the shares
Gazing up into the heavens
Within an instant
And within the very precise moment
The souls of each and every other
Come to realize
Something of depth and value
Perhaps with a magical touch
Within understanding
There is a grace within time
Perhaps a precious commodity
Or within the essence of mankind
Good will and friendships
Sparkle and shine
Good souls come to realize
Another friend is mesmerized
Within the love and shine
With a word in which
Is called friendship
Throughout all the corridors
Of all lands
For within that instant
The essence of friendship
Does come alive
As rendered friendships
Are within abundance
Within the stars as they shine

~ jgs ~

The song is one of friendship and compassion and within the rhythms of this eve there are places, spaces, souls, thoughts but one thing which seems to fit is that of the essences of the lands and the people all are within the moment at this very time. And the key of life is that very essence of friendships which render something most worthy. As well, there is a friend by the name of Sig whom celebrates his birthday tomorrow - Sig I wish you a very Happy Birthday. And to all that enjoy music as it does make the world a better place, far better than a world of wars. I wish to mention to those whom have the capacity to accept that although we are within wavelengths of the internet you do have a friend. And may the day be one that certainly resonates as we all walk upon our own stairs with stories to stories, from streets to streets and sometimes we pass each other. Within that there is one thing with no doubts is that friendships are abundant not just on Venus and Mars but within the Heavens and within the Stars...Hence you have a friend.

You've Got A Friend

When you're down and troubled
And you need a helping hand
And nothing, nothing is going right
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah
You've got a friend

If the sky above you
Should turn dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together
And call my name out loud, yeah
Soon I'll be knocking upon your door

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running, oh yes I will
To see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah

Isn’t it good to know that you've got a friend
When people can be so cold
They'll hurt you, and desert you
And take your soul if you let them
Oh yeah, but don't you let them

You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there, yes I will

You've got a friend
You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
Lord, I'll be there yes I will
You've got a friend

Oh, you've got a friend
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend

  6. Back to you not usually on at this time but decided to drop in
and the first pros are that of my own and I went out and came
back last night and it just came to mind. And the song does fit
As within all of this there can be people whom do thrive on the
good things and abundance is within the shares.
Life is about the friendships within our daily lives online and
offline as it's all within the connect.

  7. Dear Jack, you can see a very beautiful poem, thank you.
Really nice song this weekend will be on the side.

    Here are translated into Hungarian.

    You've Got A Friend

    Tartsa a fejét együtt
    És hívja nevemet hangosan, igen
Hamarosan én leszek kopogtatott után az ajtót

    Csak hívd ki a nevem
    És tudod, bárhol is legyek
Én megyek fut, ó, igen, én is

Uram, én ott leszek igen, én is
    Van egy barátom

    Ó, van egy barátom
Hát nem jó tudni, hogy van egy barátom
Hát nem jó tudni, hogy van egy barátom

  9. I have a friend that fits the category of your poem. The CD I made him had that song "You've Got a Friend" on it.
Celine is one of my favorite female singers, right at the top of my list with Anne Murray.

    Beautiful song, Jack!
The music, the message, the voices.
    All in perfect harmony

  11. Yes I have been using this translator as my cousins all speak
and read this perfectly and there are just a few words in Hungarian
that I can identify. Thank you Judit and I am not sure your time
there in Budapest but I do wish I could speak Hungarian fluently
    but translators work just fine.

The first poem was my own and then I placed on the song and these
words as I thought it was appropriate. Languages and heritage is something
    all to interesting.

Köszönöm, és abban az esetben, és örülök, hogy egy barátja technológia nagy és fordítók translate meg tökéletesen a nyelv, de egyáltalán jobb, mint a semmi.

  13. Nancy, I left out for an hour half last night and then I thought I would place this on. Carol King I think wrote the
song but the song is one that does stand for something...good friday to you.

  14. Thank you Anna I just arrived home and logged on and
within the universe there is that harmony as well within those stars.
Close your eyes and think of it as "soon I'll be there, to brighten up,
and righten up the day"... :)

  15. Same here Patty...ironically I came to really enjoy James Taylor.
This song has always stood out to me in a good manner.

  16. These are my favourite lines:

    "Throughout all the corridors
    Of all lands
    For within that instant
    The essence of friendship
    Does come alive
    As rendered friendships
    Are within abundance
Within the stars as they shine"

It's true. I have this notion that all of us, made of the same stardust are friends~and it's only when we let something 'come between' that we feel we aren't. Religious, political, ethnic or other "differences" are barriers of the mind. What a shame to let this interfere with the value of what's freely in our hands and hearts, friends.

Thank you again, Jack, for your birthday wishes. Also, I feel that music is definitely universal, and can bridge all barriers of humankind. It did so at least three times that I know of, in the U.S. Civil War. All living things respond to music, including plants. I have seen plants thrive on music.

I wasn't familiar with James Taylor, but there were videos recently on Multiply? When he was older, I could see the gentleness in his eyes; I saw it in a younger version as well. If I can find it, I'll post the link so you can enjoy it, too.

  17. Hi Sig those are great lines and yes within those words
were those of my own. I was just writing within a manner
which I was I just thought of a few things and then
wrote. Mind you there are a few bands that have
always influenced my own lyrics, as well as poems.

Those words were within my mind flow at the time.

I have enjoyed a an array of songs and Taylor ironically I came
to enjoy his music just a few years ago. Music is universal
and I don't know anyone that never has played it. The barriers
of the mind now that is someone on could do something lyrical.
Each day I will come to this and look at it and think of what is
spontaneous as well yet with consideration, but the fingers are free
as well as the intentions Sig.

Within the Civil war it's historical and spontaneously, I think of that song
that was done called, "This land is your land and this land is my land"
it was made within two countries and perhaps if some good or thoughtful
writer has another version that renders not one country but many. As this song
was wrote within both of our countries. A thought to think about.

But those lines were ones which literally are that of my own. Yep :)
A great day to my man.

  20. I don't wish to boggle this with audio but I hope those came through yeah...

  21. Both audios came through very well. You have good 'voice' for reading, well modulated and clear.

You write with stream of consciousness, and that in itself, flows. I can do so in prose, but never have in poetry. My poetry is quite disciplined.

I want to be sure this isn't misunderstood by anyone:
"I have this notion that all of us, made of the same stardust are friends~and it's only when we let something 'come between' that we feel we aren't. Religious, political, ethnic or other "differences" are barriers of the mind."

It's a distinction I make, charging the mind with responsibilities for conflict. I can "think" of no valid reason to have enemies of any kind.

On friendship, one of many of my views, is that friends nurture each other, like a plant is nurtured~~with food and water (and music too)~~or it will die. Friends aren't purchased like pictures to hang on a wall and look at from time to time. Mutual understanding, patience, compromise.

When I've learned to honestly respect someone, to have confidence in their moral standards, and their behaviour suddenly seems out of kilter to me~~I don't respond with negativity. I need to get past my perception and lack of comprehension, so that I can see exactly why~~
they seem out of kilter to me!

Looking forward to more thoughts from you.
