"The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day.
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
a cloud come over the sunlit arch,
And wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March."
- Robert Frost, Two Tramps in Mud Time, 1926
ooooo, love that passage.
ReplyDeleteFrost was amazing I find....
ReplyDeleteVery eloquent. For the most part it rings true except it was a windy day here today.
ReplyDelete:)
Absolutely.
ReplyDeleteA Prayer in Spring
Oh, give us pleasure in the flowers today;
And give us not to think so far away
As the uncertain harvest; keep us here
All simply in the springing of the year.
Oh, give us pleasure in the orchard white,
Like nothing else by day, like ghosts by night;
And make us happy in the happy bees,
The swarm dilating round the perfect trees.
And make us happy in the darting bird
That suddenly above the bees is heard,
The meteor that thrusts in with needle bill,
And off a blossom in mid air stands still.
For this is love and nothing else is love,
To which it is reserved for God above
To sanctify to what far ends he will,
But which it only needs that we fulfill.
It was sunny for most of the day and then it turned to rain but hey that is ok.
ReplyDeleteWow...
ReplyDeleteThis is really pretty. I hope to have a beautiful summer like this.
ReplyDeleteDitto here as well.

ReplyDeleteAh Spring
--I love it
Oh, the barnyard is busy in a regular tizzy,
And the obvious reason is because of the season
Ma Nature's lyrical, with her yearly miracle
Spring, Spring, Spring.
Each nest is twitterin',
They're all baby-sitterin',
Spring, Spring, Spring
Angels are also called Cherubim. I believe that is a type of Angel.
