What a great pic. My mom and her sisters often posed for pics outside of the house with bushes for background too. I know that more outside and daytime pics were taken due to the cost of flashbulbs:)
Rashmi there are tremendous stories as there is a history behind some of these old pictures. I do enjoy going back in time and a picture is worth a thousand words...
A true story my father would never took to killing. The person within the back (not making it up) was the one that did. I think he had just arrived up there and wished to look like he was a real outdoors man. According to him he never did kill this seal. Yet there is a picture I have where there are palm leaves that he shows from up there back in those days and that one I have to dig up.
Patty when I arrived home today I have this leather old suitcase and I have a so many writings and pictures. I still have some of my belongings that are in this other city called Edmonton and this summer I must go and get my scanner. I saw a few of these memorbilias and for now I thought I would just take a few out.
It's not all that great in how it came out but five years after that picture my father's mother had a stroke and was bed ridden in a hospital for 20 years I kid you not. She was a fine lady so I am told. Everyone in my father's family wanted to pull the plug. And literally my father kept her alive as long as he knew there was some mere cognitive value.
Cille, this is the first day in some that I have had not pain with my teeth and it's nice to look at memories. I don't see it as going back in time I see it as an era that is so interesting to reflect on. I do thank you.
Is this uncle of yours from your mom's or dad's sides, Jack ... i would say you got your good personality [ehem :)] and that muscular physique (ehem ... again :)) from him. He looked so handsome and a very fine gentleman.
I could tell he is your dad from afar, Jack. I had seen some pictures of him through your blogs and the manneresims i could see even just on pics. A very nice photo.
Great.Love it. Your mom and her friends looked like a movie stars way back. And their hairstyles, so neat and lovely. And they dressed up so well, there's a big difference now.
Last night for a while I tried to find the site where there are a many of these yet I never had the time to find it and it was last. But it was as said an era in time all onto itself.
It must have had some impact on him. I never have ever talked with him regarding it...As well, I hope things are going well for you on This day Nancy as I read your blog last night. Hugs there to ya.
