I have never seen someone of the likes of a President facing so much scandal. Taking all into account he has not committed any crimes. He is facing so many issues and is taken aside with all this propaganda. I don’t see the justice, regardless of how one views his progress report card thus far. Yet to underestimate the integrity of a matter of where the President was born. I don't think any President has faced so many internal and personal matters. There are so many more areas that are of concern that these distractions are not within that avenue in which we call the norm. I would dare to say that even Richard Nixon never faced as much as the President Obama. Who would ever have the audacity of the like of what Donald Trump has been recently doing with the President of the United States. The word freedom of speech, well it's a two way street but I don't think what Trump pulled of recent it right. As there were times in which Trump's past can be questioned, since he speaks so much about the economy and how he would handle it better. I think Trump would be the shame of the United States - but that's my own opinion.
Once upon a time:
As Donald continually was building and doing very well there came a time where the real estate market took a plummet. He was always a great self promoter, not of the likes of what he does now. But through it all he did an outstanding job of building an empire where so often a second generation of wealth sometimes comes to lack the luster of the origins of which he inherited. At that time, he was the quintessential real estate tycoon. This was somewhere around the late 80’s and the first two years of the 1990’s. Yet during this period there was a slump, crash where lending rates were at there all time high and many real estate companies were either claiming bankruptcy or merging with other companies.
I recall sitting within a board of directors meeting in Calgary, Alberta. I handled the private investments on behalf of four gentlemen that ran one of the largest real estate empires within the world. Invested in Canada, United States, Latin America and Europe. The head office was based in Alberta with several offices in other parts of the world. I by way of luck I guess was taken under their wing and handled the private ventures outside of the public company. Every quarter, as a director, I flew into head office for board of directors meetings. As well, there would be a review on matters of other areas. Some of which were not within my scope however for me it was a learning process. As well, they were my mentors and I regarded them very highly. Very highly, even to this very day.
As a member of the board of directors I was privy and responsible with all sectors that were within my scope of handling. I literally learned as I went along. Within my first two years I learned more than I ever had within University. As time went on I groomed into it well. I adapted the principals merely by way of just doing it, coupled with the distant supervision of one of four owners. Every quarter was an education within itself. Within one of my trips in for the meeting who would have ever known that after a progress report coupled with a lunch and then an informal discussion there would be a set up conference call with Donald Trump. I remember it all too well as often when matters which didn’t concern myself I would ask if I should be excused. Never was it the case as many of times their own private affairs would overlap with matters of the public company. Ed or Harold most often would tell me to stay to listen and learn. Well this was something as here was Donald Trump. Within short order it was obvious what all was being discussed. Trump was doing what is called a “cash call”. He had over extended himself and was discussing a deal whereby he was rendering a loan to keep his capital assets afloat. It was obvious that the discussion had already been discussed at a meeting of an earlier date. And this was a final formality. Afterwards the paperwork would be done as well as the exchange.
Ted whom was one of the four was the retired Senior Vice President accounting. As well my immediate supervisor. Ted reviewed over the accounting side and what would take place and then Harold whom was the Chairman finished off the conversation and here was Trump getting a loan or bail out of sorts as he had already over extended himself with various other banking and investment companies.
Yet they were very humbleness yet strength within the manner that these four mentors. They were well known only within industry circles. There are a few books that have been published which contain their names but for the average person they didn’t know who they were, nor did they wish to be known. The reason for that was one had a child that was kidnapped and ransom demanded but that all was resolved when the RCMP became involved and that is as far as I shall go with that. But what I learned was that the higher you climb there is the other side to it all. I was giving my first speech within what’s called the International Council of Shopping Centers. It was an idea exchange convention. Within this speech which was title, “Humanizing Brick and Mortar” during my 40 minute speech I made reference to these four mentors of mine. Shortly thereafter I was pulled aside by one which worked within a subsidiary of the company and was scorned as I was never to make reference to any names as they didn’t wish for anyone to know of there private arm from which I handled. Which gives the manner of conducting business. If you can imagine here is this kid really learning his chops and to be associated with these gentleman was amazing enough to me, as I had started with them right after my third year of university. But to hear the voice of Trump really blew me away. I came out of it in awe of what had transpired and when I arrived back to my office I reflected on it for days. If Donald had not been granted monies and a few mergers to leverage his company more than likely he would have had to file for bankruptcy. This was before I returned back to live in New York. And it was very surreal to me. But the merit of this was that here was one very bold person, whom himself had a problem or had made some mistakes. Regardless of who was handling the books, ultimately the owner or CEO is the one responsible within any given corporation.
Over the last few days I have been hearing these continual integrity attacks on the President. I was thinking to myself of this time where he mishandled his own affairs. If it hadn’t been for the monetary aid, Trump quiet likely would have been filling for Chapter 11.
So now years later the man that proclaims to have done it all only by way of himself points the finger with what he sees as flaws of the President of the United States. It’s one thing to point a finger and it’s another to do it to the President. Integrity flies high within this word we call freedom of speech. As I think that some do take it too freely. For myself, the likes of Donald Trump handling the state of the economy as President is something that doesn’t cut it for myself. I am sure you can see why I feel this way. Would be like – I don’t know what that would be like. Yet I don’t think it was correct in doing what he does.
However if you ask me - for those that think that Trump is the one to be the next President of the USA. Think again. Ronald Reagan went from being and actor to being a superb leader but there are no comparables to any President and Trump. But back to these attacks on the President. Well, it would be very interesting if Donald's records were put to task. Mind you he is doing well now but there was a time where Trump had failed within his own empire. When one has to attack the President of the United States with such an aggressive manner of sensationalism - perhaps he should be taking a look at his own affairs and his own past before doing so. A President should never have had to face this scandal, which is ridiculous by way of Trump. He has the money now to make fiction to blemish the President, yet I don't see where he would be of the making of what makes up a leader of a country. But this is only my opinion but I think you can the merits in why I don't see this reasonable, I find it literally ridiculous. Donald thrives on creating scandal. I myself don't think that a person that does reality shows is of the same cloth as those, which have been the President of the USA. But hey that's just my opinion.
There is not one leader right now within the world that has the magic touch to clean the economy up within any country. For that matter within four years. We may wish for it to happen but I would not bet on it. I have my own feelings regarding the President. For the most part I think that he has been doing as best as anyone could, mind you there have been Presidents, which have been assassinated. This President will go down in history as one, which went through all too many character assassinations. As for Trump, I don’t play cards but when it comes down to integrity he is not playing fair, for that matter he isn’t playing with even a full deck. But with allot of money from which he can almost have one believe anything he says. Yet the finger that points at one, there are three fingers that point back.
I don’t think Donald ever considered that. I don’t believe Donald considers much other than Donald…

Just my view on that and my reasons
Obama's only crime is that he is a black man in America. Most of the "crimes" he is accused of are lies that have been spread by the right. People today are dumber then they were 10 years ago because of the talking heads feeding them lies. They no longer even know the constitution nor do they know the requirements for citizenship or President because things have gotten so twisted. It is easier for white America to believe the lies and the twisted truth because they hate the thought there is an intelligent black man running the country.

I remember him almost losing his ass and many of his friends have to come to bat and bail him out. He is a charlatan and an actor, but not a good businessman. No, they aren't all lies but yes to some. On both sides-and getting foolish with all the bad conduct -the blaming, dening, excusing, etc. One has to be aware, you are right many are ill-informed.And many are in total denial of anything because of personal likes and favors. But there have been wrongful acts commited. Lies told. things were hidden. Not that that is new.

No that is not racial pointing out many don't like him and it isn't just a race factor as someone suggested, which is why the example- what was a bit racial was saying before White America hates a black President. Maybe some feel that way but many of us have been exposed to ethic, nation and religious differences since we were babes. And not everyone judges people like that. While some social class distinctions may now be weakened, new divisions have begun to appear more and more and comments like that-put that way, are one of the reasons why. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way. Equality does not mean total uniformity. Or that you don't mention race. Men and women, old and young, are all represented in this American organization that includes people from many, many racial, linguistic, national, and economic backgrounds. Your first mistake is to assume the Constitution was written with moral principles. It was never the extent of the founding fathers to have religion as part of the political process. Which is why they wrote of the separation of church and state. The Preamble which sets the ton of the document and gives it's mission statement has nothing about moral or religious principles.

ReplyDeleteNever base your proof off of art. For the record with art history most painting of the time were created in advance with peoples faces painted on them when they are sold to a buyer. In the early years of the US until the early 1900s artists traveled from town to town stopping at homes, businesses and government buildings to sell their services. If someone wanted a painting for their estate or business they chose from a stock canvas and had their face painted on it. this was a much cheaper and easier alternative to having a canvas painted from scratch. A face only could be done in a few days whereas a complete canvas could take a couple months. This means also the person in the picture would have to do the sitting for hours a day for weeks. It wasn't cost effective or time effective for people. Therefore the stock canvas was widely used. Do you really think Davinci was there to witness and paint the last supper? Or that most of those paintings were painted from 1st perspective? The bible was used as a prop because they first began to come off of the printing presses in 1611. While many people of the time couldn't read, many households had a bible. Therefore it was a widely used prop for the travelling artist/

First people came to this country to avoid religious persecution and then under royal governorship had more persecution based off of religion. The country was founded off of freedom to do as one feels fit. As soon as states were ruled by their own people the regulations about church attendance was dropped. Because churches were few and far between, people practiced their beliefs on their own.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is difficult for a non white Protestant American male to be elected into the Presidency. We have never had a Jewish President. We have had one Quaker and One Catholic. they have all been male. All but 2 protestant. Much of that is because the old boys network likes it that way. We are still very much a paternal society with roots going back to Roman rule and doctrine.
If people don't find a problem with a black president do me a favor. Go down south, stand in the middle of the street and say Obama is a great President. You will hear the word Nigger in under 20 seconds. Go into a nursing home filled with mostly white patients and ask them. The old guard does not like the fact that this country is being led by a black man. One of the reasons Obama won was the support of the under 30 crowd. They have given up a lot of the racist stereotypes of their grandparents. They also mostly agree with gay marriage and gay people in the military.
Seriously if America isn't prejudiced see what happens if a black lesbian muslim woman runs for President. She wouldn't stand a chance of getting on a major political parties ticket.

And worst of all- Women being put to death for some suppose family honor--even if they were raped--and that is going on today. While few address it. Little girl's are being mutilated so they hopefully don't wander (but not in America--we have gone past that horror of horror-we don't do that anymore---and you can bet if they do--there will be some strong voices hollering today--and such a young nation too) I wouldn't put America anywhere near the top of horrors because of our Prejudices today toward others. We do have them . Look around--These examples reflect a worldwide trend. Seems few haven't been targeted for something or another.

I know he went belly up when he built the Taj and again when he built Trump Towers. I think there was another incident dealing with either Trump Shuttle or the mob deal and being caught with some weird stuff going on at the Taj. Actually his branching into reality TV was a means to pay back some of his debt from a bankruptcy.

ReplyDeleteIf you are talking about the Trumbull painting the people in that painting aren't even accurate. The picture wasn't commissioned until 1817. Many of the signers were already dead and he painted off of other likenesses. There is also at least one person pictured who did not sign the declaration. The image itself is false in that the Declaration of Independence was signed over a period of months, not everyone together at one time.

Thousands question where he was born? Then, explain why no one ever questioned the birth place of any other president. Because they were white?

I would also mention~in general~that when making accusations of multiple crimes, "(big things)" references should always be given.

and let Trump make an ____ out of himself.
Trump said he did a service to everyone, but all in all Donald had his own agenda.
He is black and so what. I never would judge a person based on his color. Perhaps
Gene Simmons might run for the next election but then again he is America but was
born in Israel. I had referenced this Harold, in matters that were unbecoming at
board meetings he would always say, "it's time to get a haircut" when he thought things
were all way out there. This one was.

ReplyDeleteJack, one of the things I admire most in blogs, or debates of any kind. Focus. You're very competent in that area. It's an exercise in futility to try to address copious, extraneous material, that wanders so far from the issue presented.

The other night I thought I would write from my own self experience and these four gents are still alive today's date. So for the one that points a finger as Donald had never would you see them address Trump's past. But Trump marches on as he has within this new arena now. Within the manner I wrote it I could never be prosecuted for defamation as only when someone makes something up is there the ability to make a court action. I had no problems with it yet I did wish to keep the anonymity of these four people. As unless I called them would I use there given names but I did use their first names.
