Welcome to Autumn

It's fair to say that we have recieve our Autumn in a very fast manner. I will have some pictures today, if all goes well. My father's health is one the decline I am going to be taking him in today.

He came down with a flu and he has a slight vascular dementia from six strokes. And making a long story short you do what you have to do. But within it I look more forward to things. I have been tending to a few things and I hope after one things within this month that all can go forwards in a good manner.

What does Autumn mean to you? I know as far as Autumn it's that time where there is a preperation for a winter as usually we will get our first snow fall in the last two weeks of November but this year is very unpredictable.

We have an over cast day here and it's rather cold but getting used to it. So it's flow of sort. One can sit and wait or one can move ahead. I find that within life moving forward is the best thing to do - it's a choice and there is nothing one can do but make that own self decision. So it's up and onwards. It's time to move beyond things.

So with that all said I bid to those on this side of the pond and great fall season and right around the corner is Thanks Giving believe it or not. How time has move beyond so fast.

  1. Autumn is my favorite season of the year, and October my favorite month. It is my birthday month and I am still alive and kickin'! I love the colors, the smells, the crunchy leaves, apple cider, pumpkins, corn stalks and hay bales as a decoration in front of many businesses and homes. I love the cool crisp mornings and evenings, the bright blue sky, and the more puffy than usual white clouds. I love life....period. I am hoping your day goes well, and I pray God blessings on you Jack.

  2. Autumn here in Korea is very similar to Canada, although not the spectacular leaves that we have, Much more muted here. One of my favorite times here. There's no humidity, not cold yet, and lots of sun. Things will make a second distinct turn around October 15th. I can almost set my clock to it. Plans are I will be out of here to warmer climes before winter sets in.

  5. I like summer-autumn means being locked in not being able to go out and a sad time of year slowly the world dies and stays dead till slowly in spring it all starts to come alive again-
autumn is a sad time time dreary cloudy wet ugh-ice and snow and bad fog quit a quit settles over the land and all the people turn into their little houses to be saf and warm-so not so much communication till spring-
can you tell I am a summer girl lol

  6. Autumn is my favorite. To me it means crisp. It's not too hot, not too cold. The colours here in Brittany are very muted compared to New England, but I have been planting some--a sugar maple and some red-leafed oak. Our dogwood and blueberry bushes also go a very nice red. Things have come to a fullness. Then we will have a little rest and begin again.
