One of four of the largest Ammunition's Stockpiles...

Even this Major,  which I met with back two weeks ago in one of four of the largest ammunition's stockpiles feels that the war is a taxing time and that he has seen too many army troop die within Afghanistan.

A great guy and at the same time little does everyone know on how Canadian troops have paid the price. But I shall write on the better sides of things. Just know that each day people pass on for peace.

I thank you all for those that were willing to partake. But hey we have our democracies ONLY due to the people that serve and put their lives in harms way.

  3. Terri, I as you know love all countries but especially Canada and the USA. My hopes were that there would be something done in a very good way between Prime Minister Haper and President Obama. But never give up.
It seems so simple yet seeming we are in an era that is much different. The one thing I will manage as I see you as well very level very - I find that peace is something that is obtain for and to those whom wish to have it.

We do need it and we do need to progress and set back down foundations that render peace. But it's not as easy as it seems. Yet harmony on a global front, and by way of people - I am not sure that we all understand and embrace the significance of countries.

Peace is something that will be worth writing about but I moved away from what so many deem as politics yet life is full of politics - I guess peace is something that has a different meaning for each and every person.

  4. Katya you have no idea how many while I was living in Edmonton that came home every week, Canada has paid a very large price in staying in Afghanistan and those whom put there lives in harms way only enable our society to function.
    I love the write....

  7. I admire the troops of Canada, US, any country that put their lives on the line to defend their people.

  8. I am sorry for Canada's loss of good people willing to put themselves in harms way.
I do not understand why we are in Afghanistan, but nonetheless, I have only respect for the brave men and women who go there for their country.
We will not win this war in this foreign place, we will only lose more lives. Russia retreated in defeat after ten years of dying, I only hope that we do not take this long and lose so many for naught but to maintain a footprint in the East.
If Canada can find a way to bring it's troops home, they should. I salute your friend.

  9. Byron, Canada has always worked along with United States. From what I gather the reception that Prime Minister Harper received was not necessary as this health care thing has nothing to do with Canada. That is how I feel.
But within it all we have always been partners without the borders and this protectionism combined with health care - Canada has never pushed it's system of Health onto another country. I would think that we are far beyond that after 8 years.

    Hope is all I say...

  11. Cheryl,

I have never wrote on these two topics and I think that we all don't want division we want to embrace the commonalities. Peace is something we all strive for and I think that is something that is worth the honor as well as integrity that it gives us.
I have never wrote on these topics for some time as I love to look at the other side of things. I could write and write on the commonalities that we all have. But of recent the health care system is the main topic and what comes with it is Canada. I see things as I am sure most all do in the manner that we all wish for the good things within life.
Regardless of where we come from.

Kudos to your son as well as cousin!

  12. I do not believe we can impose true peace. That must come from within each one, changing so as to love the other, all human beings, no matter which side of a man-made line they find themselves.

  13. True peace is an ideal. Mankind was born with imperfections and since the dawn of time there will not be peace but there can be resolve. if I may, the one thing that Canada has done is stayed in Afghanistan the longest. We never went to Iraq, and now many Canadians want out as we were there initially in the hardest areas and now as a society DJ, we do want to bring out troops back.

We too need to take into consideration our own economy as well as the options as we have been in Afghanistan and when all went to Iraq, we were holding the barrel and many died. Within Canada, our Prime Minister will not be re elected if he waivers and stays beyond 2011. We have been in there for a decade - Afghanistan that is.
We can't for democracies on other countries, but we can protect our own interests. There is such a large difference in going into a country and staying out of a country and yet rendering security in a methodical peaceful nature.

This shall be one of the last of my write as such as I know that many do not wish to write on these things but my last mention is that we would not have our democratic freedoms which include religion and so many other things if if was not for people such as this Major which I can't name, but the rights that we do have have only been achieved by way of our military.

If we did not have a military we would not live in a democracy.

This picture was taken back two weeks ago, it did not fit within anything I was writing as well I was not sure I wished to place it on as literally I could never tell you his name nor where this is, but it's one of four of the largest ammunition stockpiles on this continent.
But I like you love peace.

  14. It's all because of some selfish people that make others trapped into such harmful situation..Can not imagine how much the tears and sadness comes to get the peace.. ;(

  15. Good morning Silvia, but there is another side. Every nation does need to have a defence system. Back in the times of the cold war there was much talk about peace and at that time if we did not have it we would have lost our very freedoms that we have. There is a need for defence and the training of it - it actually is an act of peace as it's keeps a sort of equilibrium of sorts.

But we have went into places now that in my opinion we should have never. As it was in many ways an redundant situation where there will never be a change. It's proven in history especially within some of the countries that we have went into. In history it's proven that you can never win in trying to take on the Ottoman Empire.

I will say it. It was the a few people that were in power in the United States, Dick Cheney and George Bush. Ironically George in on a speaking tour and will be here in my city on the 13th of October. I don't know who is going to see him or why they would in a arena that holds some 25,000 thousand people.
Peace is obtain by means of intellegent neutrality...and yes people can be selfish.
