The Temperatures Have Been HOT...

Amazingly we have had a very hot last few days. In getting on here it's very interesting to just say hi to a few people that are connected. Yesterday was well into the 90's as well as today and well we are getting out Indian Summer to say the least.

I was getting some fast food today and while I was leaving I could not help but take a picture of this little guy.

I think he was telling "mom", lets go home as it's much too hot out here. All in all things seem to be going well.

Last weekend I went to a three parts of this city and this place never stops building. The one thing with regards to this city is they build and we will have the larged Walmart in Western Canada - well there is already 4 already and with the economy you can see within the mall's how the independent tenants are closing up. However the chain stores seem to be doing well.

But here we are in September and with regards to the weather it's great that finally some decent weather has come about.

  7. Sometimes I wonder if they are being reasonable to build so many more stores. The bulldozer is ever so hungry. I like that shot.

  8. DJ, it's the hardest thing to place a story with several pictures on this. There was a few more vantages as last Saturday I did get out in the morning - yes I do get out! lol...and I as well love that picture and will be over to see what have wrote about - but right now this morning as at 6am today it's going up to 35c with a very humid humidex. I forget what the humidex will be but it's a humid hot. However this morning right now it's beautiful.

In relation to the new walmart I am not in agreement with it as we have several already and in these times regardless of good economy or bad - which here it is good I do not believe in really what are monopolies like the sorts of Walmart. As well, I was wrong with the number of the size as it's going to be 250,000 sq. ft. as the ones we have right now all five are what I would estimate at 160,000 sq. ft. - I am still a believer in the "mom and pop" shops.

That bulldozer was making way for new homes as within Canada this is the only city that is still growing despite the recession - rather ironic if you as me.
    A great day to you.

  9. I have a job I believe I will know more next Wednesday thanks to some help by way of an agency here but I have been living on needs and wants !
However I saved all these years but when you start leaning into you savings at these times well I think you know what I am saying.
Regardless a good one to you. As well, I have to go get a family member and take them to the hospital for a cosmetic surgery thing (my sister) and then unfortunately I have to format this computer and I am bring out my laptop as I have to get it going. I would love to sit on the porch at night and just write.

The temperatures we have right now are very different as this is usually something we are groomed into - I asked the puppie and he said the same thing! :)
Today will be taking someone to the hospital and thereafter getting these machines done.

  10. I liked the smaller Walmart before they built the super sized one here better,,enjoy the warm weather. It's starting to storm and I'm gonna be on the road tonight I don't think it's suppose to get bad though just a little thunder and lightning

  12. That's a great choice of dogs to take a photo of, Jack. That little guy has attitude to spare.

Wal-mart is an entity unto itself. I gather its because a lot of consumers have gone "downscale" and are buying more essentials in a one-stop discount outfit like them. Some of the towns in my area are fighting expansion plans, and I'm like Cheryl--the smaller the local Wal-Marts, the better I feel it helps other outlets and small businesses.
