Today

I was up really early and most sleep in on Saturdays but I have always been an early bird so to speak. I headed to this place where one man is has taken upon himself to take an old dilapidated bridge and make it into a historical site. It's about 45 minutes out of town and I thought this was the day as I had planned to go there for some time.

In getting there I didn’t realize that there really was no way to get my car down to it so I parked and went down and took a few pictures of it. I wish I had the article from the newspaper on what this gent is doing but I remembered it from two months ago and right now it looks like it's ready to be torn down but here is one that has taken on something and I don't know him but it will be something to see what comes about with it.

The temperature today went down in comparison to what it has been to my surprise. Some were even wearing mid weather jackets. But that goes with the territory I suppose. Needless to say all is going well and I ran into an old friend that ties in with a picture that I took some time ago. Within all the pictures that I take, I will never place people within it as I don't know them and I am just writing for myself if you know what I mean.

It seemed rather quiet today, as most were probably within malls shopping and so forth. But regardless from early this morning through the day - it was a very decent day.

Now it's time to either go get some take out or make something. But within it all it's all good. And I still am amazed with what took place with those that did contribute with the collaborative with the passing of Michael Jackson.

The shares are something that honestly amaze me, meanwhile I know I have to get to a few peoples blogs as it's all within respect. May the weekend be yours.

Jack

  6. Fran it certainly is. I truly believe in the value of retaining historical things and in this case this man whom I don't know but I had read about I do feel is doing something very worthwhile. There is an array of history that I do believe we can retain.

  7. Tony very well, and I have to say that I within the last week there really is significance within this. I can see how it comes to be contagious and in a good way. The day was cooler but that's fine by me and I will always have something that I truly enjoy and within purpose regardless of what it is - if you enjoy something then it's worthwhile.
As well, I wish you the same, I think I am coming to know you better ironically only by way of write.

  8. Karyn each day I am out I think I have have maybe spent one week in the last three months just relaxing but I am coming to find that things do well when you don't think on it but you just do those things regardless of how big or small. And one more day on the anti biotic and we are in the clear...
Satisfaction starts with an "S" so it must have something to do with Saturdays and Sundays : )

  9. Eliz,

This is a good thing as the bridge is not going to become a commercialized situation - it's just going to be turned into a historical site and people will drive by on what is known as the number 16 highway - I think you may know that one - and they can pass by and see something that is restored to it's traditional look. I am going to place it on my blog but I have never placed so many picture on my blog as now. But why not!

When things are knocked down that are historical, I really fell there is a loss of history. In a town called Yorkton, there is a historical site in which my family started with an old school and church. It's just on the outskirts of that town.

  10. Outstanding picture, Jack! You must have a very powerful camera to get such defined picture. Have you taken pictures of Light House, Jack? Now, that's one picture that I love to see. Have a great Sunday and take care. Get enough rest..

Here this is the western part of Canada and the Ocean is 3,000 miles either way (east or west).
A great Sunday morning too you Amy.

  12. LOL Jack! You seem to be in fine fettle this morning...winking...
That's too far away to go for a stroll in the beach. I love the ocean. I can be sequestered there for an indefinite period of time and will never complain.
