You mean Twitter? I find them a bit annoying as they flood your inbox, but maybe you can turn them off when you are upgraded? I can't do notes yet nor turn them off... For me I would have joined Twitter if I wanted that kind of stuff or I would chat on MSN or Skype etc, why do we need it here?
It's for posting a quick notification or message to your network. There are 3 options: Everyone, Friends of Friends, or Friends & Family. It will go into the contacts inbox and this will also post to your home page in a new itembox called "Notes". You can choose to hide this box through "customize". Start typing and the box will increase in size as well as show the posting options. You can edit it afterwards, change access(to the 3 levels only) or delete.
Not sure I just noticed it and came back online and thought it was something much like tweeter. Why it's there I have no idea, it's almost as if multiply sourced in several things. Hmmm.
congrats Jack.you are on your way to new and good things.hehehe.They are working on premium accounts in bits and pieces although some non premium accounts are seeing the new changes too which is a good thing.In fact its just like twitter or facebook.i love it because when i go to my inbox,i can see all of my contacts listed and can click on their names,read their blogs,messages,replies,its really a good thing.Have fun and enjoy yourself.Seeya
