I see that I have more options

Within "my account" things have changed as I see that I can flag things and I have set my filter but I have never flagged anything at all what is a flag? Literally I never really paid much attention to this stuff.

Well I am going to just have to do it myself but I literally never knew there was so much on here within the "my accounts" now in comparison to yesterday Welma where are you! :)

  1. A flag will make it easier to get back to that post by looking under custom filters you'll see that there is a "flagged" area there and those flagged entries will be put there so you can return to them

  5. That is new Jack. It's basically the same links you can find in the inbox.
Filters are for your inbox only. No one but you will see your inbox filters.

Say I have 50 contacts, and "auntie" posts one hundred posts per day(howdy graphics)
and I don't want them cluttering up the inbox every time I open. I can exclude auntie from the list of contacts I want with a filter, call the filter auntieless, and every time I go to my inbox, clicking o auntieless brings up all the contacts that I do want to see their posts. Of course, if I ever want to see auntie's posts, they will be in recent updates, or I can make a filter for her only.
Using custom filters is optional, just gives you more control over the posts you are most interested in.
Flags are an easy way to mark posts you may wish to review later. Just flag a couple, and then click on the "Flagged" in the custom filters dropdown menu in the left rail.

  9. I think this flagging thing is similar to pinned messages. I've pinned a few before.
