Allowing Your Own Inner Light

There comes a time when you must stand alone.
You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams.
You must be willing to make sacrifices.
You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.
Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged.
There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities.
Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.
Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by.
Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.
Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.
Work hard at what you like to do and try to overcome all obstacles.
Laugh at your mistakes and praise yourself for learning from them.
Pick some flowers and appreciate the beauty of nature.
Say hello to strangers and enjoy the people you know.
Don't be afraid to show your emotions laughing and crying make you feel better.
Love your friends and family with your entire being they are the most important part of your life.
Feel the calmness on a quiet sunny day.
Find a rainbow and live your world of dreams always remember life is better than it seems.

  5. This is kinda funny. Initiative you once again write my heart. I agree so completely. We have one life. It is so easy to fall into the shadow of others or life responsibilities. It is so easy to lose ourselves in our own world. I for one have realized this, and at the age of 32 dont want to wait until i am 75 to realize I have said no to life experiences so long that I have missed out on the "me" in my life. I love this blog and have read it 3 times. Through my recent life experiences of being a woman, mom, wife, bill payer, tax payer etc., I have realized that even though there is ALWAYS more to it than just do it, sometimes, in life even when money is tight, and life is busy, you just have to DO IT. I can't wait for life to provide the perfect and timely opportunity. I have to make the time to just be me and revel in me. I have to make it, and sometimes I have to get outside of my comfort box, and pick something tangible and just DO IT. It could be as simple as a long drive, a day at the beach, or totally putting myself out there publicly to say something I want to be heard. It could go even as far as working out, (LOL) two days and running here. The most important thing is to understand and recognize that in the rat race of life to do and accomplish more, sometimes, the best accomplishement we could achieve would be to stop and smell the friggin roses for 5 minutes to appreciate what we have, and who we are today and actually do something with it. Then we can revel in the opportunity of having a tomorrow and a future.

I totally appreciate your title of your blog because you are so right. It is time to recognize and explore our own "inner light". We all have it. Whether we choose to acknowledge it or not, is the key. Congratulations. Congratulations on speaking a real truth of wisdom that most spend their entire lifes working so fast and hard that they don't take the time to find this truth. Keep em coming.

You know what? As i read your blog again, my response is not even beginning to respond to all you said. It is real and totally true. Thanks again.

  6. Well you have a great family there Jenna and this was something I pulled out from the vault. Yeah we are the only ones that can and in taking this one write along with a few others I am rekindling my own foundation as well. Regardless of any given circumstance if one does think in terms of what there belief and values are it's something that does take heed. So often we don't take into consideration the values of life. They are there for us and it's not all within material, more than anything it's within the soul, not so much religiously but within ones own way from which the come to understand the simplicity of life. I think that really is the gift.

Glad to see you again as always and the pictures of your daughter are a true example of worth. I will add Jenna.

  8. It's ironically inspiring to me as this is not a spontaneous write - it's one that I wrote some time back in what I call the vault and when I look at it now it's not taking me back to that time it's actually rekindling my self in a manner - like a self cognitive if you will. So I am actually reading these over as well and I never thought that there would be a reinforcement of my own belief structure until I could get in. If you google "conforms and the Stainger Initiative", I think you will see along with some that really helped out - I had not only a group but several outcastings that others ran.

How that came to be is beyond me. But that is then and this is now.

Within this I wish to say a special thanks to you and a few others Lynn, Jimi, Rosie, Heidi, Annette, Anna and Cal.

  10. The meds are working good and I slept in they are words but they are thoughts that we all have that even I have to place into action. But in no means am I preaching. I am just writing in my own manner while sipping my morning coffee and a great day to you Rosie...

  11. Eliz it's a co create, what one writes another usually already knows - it's just coming to realize what we already know and what lays within us.
