The James Blunt Crew.avi

I was doing several things today - but one place I wanted to go to was the largest stadium here called Rexall place. I got in and then due to someone setting up for tonight - which I did not know about - I met with the manager and he asked me to come back tomorrow regarding something else and as well for the allowance to take some pictures. But it was James Blunt that was performing. Now I did not think of whom James was at the time but he has some serious great songs that one of which are "Your Beautiful".

I left as I had covered allot of ground from the morning on and I found these two gents from Oklahoma and Colorada that were more that please to have some fun. There is no snow here but it's rather very cold, but these two were a part of the outsourced team of the crew that moves all the equipment.

They knew the various cities in Canada off by heart but they did not really know whom James was, and now that I know, my gosh that stadium will be packed tonight.

  1. These guys were much funnier that what is shown in here as we did two takes and I won't place them on but they were too funny. Kinda like ZZ Top but they never did make it but they enjoyed what they did. It blew me away that they even knew the city I used to live in called Saskatoon. We talked inside and at first they were much more serious and then they asked me if I was from Edmonton after I had been speaking to the manager of the stadium, and I told them. Then ironically it was as if we were all on the same wave - the only thing was that no one new from the name whom James Blunt was. I did not till I got home and he was in the military in Canada and then somehow retired as a Captain - James that is - and then just took a risk and wrote music.

Interesting day which started at 8:00am in the city....

  2. G'day Jack,
Sounds like you had a rewarding time as spontaneous undertakings can often be, I don't know the name James Blunt, so checked him out on google & Utube (sleuth Wendy strikes again) bet the concert was a sell out the young ones would love him

  4. I was out of the house at 8:30am. James Blunt is someone that if you google on you will see whom he is he is from England. But he started in Canada and then somehow he made his first hit a few years back and it started in Australia and then went directly into the USA.
    I have a meeting tomorrow between 1 and 3pm.

  5. Hi Joyce, no I never met him. He was asleep in either a hotel or in one of the four tour buses. But the name did not register with me until I arrived home. And I truly love his music. These gents are a part of his entourage.
So I never met him, if I wanted to stick around for an hour I could have but I saw but could not take any pictures of the set up of the stage. What I can say is that his stage tour is a circle that is within the middle of a stadium.
Nice to see you for once - to the one that does write and as well publish her own writings. Thank you and nice to see you after some two years.
The song "your beautiful" was his first hit....and he is good, lyrically and he is on tour right now. I had no clue.
