Knowing What Counts

It’s a joy to see the various writings as I have over the past time. I have come to understand what the meaning of life is. And that meaning is all within each and every one of us. We blog and we write in a manner that only gives a portion of whom we are, we are within the era of a stream that never is complacent. We thrive to do things. We enjoy to write, and we enjoy to give our own opinions on things. This to me is what it’s about.

I have seen several people and know many from times before this multiply. And the one thing that I will never turn away from is being me. As I once mentioned within a quote – “I can’t touch you…” as your not near. But within the areas of life, this is one element of life that now and then there is something that touches someone in a meaningful manner.  Each of us has our own agendas, our own lives and yet we embark on our own thoughts or posts. Perhaps we don’t share as much but from within my contacts I can certainly say that within the balance of going my path I do share. And I have been touched by a variety of people. Regardless of gender, regardless of religion, and regardless of where we come from.

Being here counts. Being kind and considerate counts. Getting through each day without seriously offending anyone or hurting anyone counts.  Having the latest technology does not count as much. Sorry, I am not a downer on technology. In fact, I probably have pretty much the same amount as you. For myself I don’t rely on it, I find it interesting to write. Nothing more or less.

With all this technology doing something that is useful with one’s life does count. Regardless of what that may be. As each of us have our own way and that is something to be respected. We might not all connect in the exact same manner but that is how we learn different thoughts, tastes, and aspects of life. For myself focusing on what is important is a code of life. Making the positive changes that ensure that there is something good that can take place within this realm of technology.  We are awake we are not asleep. I am certain that we are not lucidly living. A term that is very relative to what has meaning within the balance of these times.

There are some things that are important in life and a whole lot of things that are not as important. It doesn’t take too much discrimination to work out which is which. And there are a whole lot more things in that don’t count, that are not as important. Which comes down to choices that we make in life. I’m certainly not saying we can’t have trivia within our lives. For myself I don’t find the trivia as important. Watching the latest reality show on television isn’t my cup of tea.

Nurturing thoughts in an authentic manner seems for me what counts.

As there is a gain in what we read and what we see.

"Petals For Less"

Yesterday I had this strange call.  It was “Petals for Less”.  I asked them if they were sure they were or had the right person, and they asked my name and sure as it can be – it was for me.  I had been up yesterday at 6am, by 8 the contractors needed the garage door to be open to pour the concrete after we finally had some really nice warm weather.  As earlier the entire area surrounding the house was mud, and if you didn’t step on this metal pathway.  You would literally sink into the ground right up to nearly half a foot. So here I had these contractors and then I had “Petals for Less” asking for someone to be at the house between noon to 4pm. Well it was Saturday and I love to head and do things and …I quickly drove off to get the Saturday newspaper and then rushed back.  Still no delivery.  So I did several things around here that need to be done, but again it now was 4, and I wanted to go out.  I was going out later, but I called “Petals” and asked them where what ever they have is.  And is it going to show up or not.

Making a long story short, they indicated that they would not be able to deliver by way of their sub contractor delivery person.  I told them that then if the person that sent it.  They should be redeemed and have their money back.  At this time I had a hunch as I think I knew who had sent what I had yet to received.

I finally left again and returned around 7 pm.  Here I have two nice neighbors that came up to me and asked if my name was “Initiative Stain” – just kidding, they asked if my name was Jack, and I said yes.  David and his wife then introduced themselves to me and she rushed off with a smile on her face and came back with these flowers.  She smiled and asked me what is the occasion.  I told them, and they wished me a happy birthday and it was the first time that we had met.  I don’t know too many men that receive a gift of flowers – but it was nice as not only was “Petals for Less” – the petals/flowers were much more.

I got on the telephone and called long distance to a very good friend of mine.  Not going to mention the name as with many I do have a few very good friends and this one in particular amazed me that she was so thoughtful.  And the flowers are an arrangement, there is no grass laid down as of yet – but over this summer they will be on the front porch or on the back patio.  I will be the first to say – I do love plants and flowers.  And I do like tending to them and watching them grow.

I guess what I am trying to say here is that yeah it was my day of celebration, but I was amazed with a few things that have taken place – and if I can fit in a few pictures of these, they are really nice, and yes they are yellow.  Friendships that have meaning and acts as such tell me one thing – there still are amazing, special people out there – even online.  And fortunate for me, I have a gift that came from a very incredible person.

Ironically in the manner that I received the arrangement – I met my neighbors, had an interesting conversation with a man from Portugal that explained to me how he and his family operation do there trade – with the pavement.  And then I had a few calls as some from various corners of the world, as well as one with a very good friend of mine that lives in another city.  And as I am writing this I see the array of people wishing a happy birthday.  And I really wish to extend a thank you back to this person as well as to everyone.  It’s a part of something within my life that I do enjoy.  And I sincerely thank you for the gift, and as well the gift from various people by way of their fingers typing out a happy birthday.  I can tell you – it was not some big celebration – but it was an enjoyable time to just have to myself after the last two weeks that have taken place.

Everything Works within A Cycle

It certainly has been a week.

I returned, I moved, and I bought a much needed new desktop computer. I am getting used to with all it's frills, and I made a trip to the airport.

I really enjoyed all the thoughts with a write that I did make and I wish to say that we all have our own ways but at the same time we embark on things in a manner that is from within.

To each and every person in here on a day for me (or a week) that was encridibly busy. I bid you a thank you.

The most enjoyable time for myself is in the early morning as well as in the evening. What takes place during the day is what we do in our own ways of life.

All in all it's all good, I just have never had it where you have to call this person for this and that and as I look at it - it all is about realizing that you can't do everything in one day. Nor even a week sometimes.  It's just embracing what your doing and holding onto what you are willing to do to get to where you desire to be. Yeah I think it's something like that.

So thank you...

You Don’t Need to Keep Checking That Your Singing from the Same Map

It’s obvious to say that we need not worry with regards to age, as there is nothing that one can do about it. It’s inevitable. So within being young should there be a rule to stay young? Well, growing older physically and temporarily at times is something we all have to do and putting it off is pointless.

All the things that we do know are not exactly the same as when we were in our 20s. I was reading the newspaper today and there was a story about a chap whom had taken his father backpacking in the Greek islands. His dad is 78 and he said that he had trouble keeping up with him. Now that’s staying young.   There is a woman I know in her 70’s that describes how she feels the same inside now as she did when she was 21. And it shows outside. It’s something more than just staying young. It’s probably due to several things.

Who says you can’t try new tastes, new places, and new styles and come to have a “mind shift” in which you don’t just sit and do the same thing each and every day.  It’s not going for safe options it’s being abreast of what is happening, not giving up things because one thinks they are not able to do it.  If your young by way of age ~ pondering that one here myself ~ but one day you will probably come to ponder on it.

Staying young is the ability to be in a state of mind that takes on things in a manner that is enjoyable.  Each person is different and each person has different situations going on in their own life – yet the ability to gain in the areas of life that one desires is something that only does come to be complicated. And so very often that complicated ponder is held close to the heart waiting to unveil itself with another – which leads to friendships, trust, and all that was mentioned before.

Today I had the pleasure of speaking to a man that runs one very great company. Within our talk we were sitting and sharing different thoughts with regards to work and what this company was doing and it lead into several other things in which we share. He loves photography, his girlfriend is from a city I used to live in and he goes there each month. And we left off with meeting up again during lunch.   I asked him a question with regards to the people that he has working for him. And how he views the manner of society and where it’s going. He indicated to me that he has seen so many things that he really does not have any understanding of it all, but if I was to sit amongst it all he said that he is sure that I would come to a very quick understanding on how people seem to be, and added a few things and we had a laugh. We were not talking about the age of people but the way of people. Not in a cynical manner as this was a really good chap, he had started off working in one area and it lead into several other areas. As far as he was concerned  - life is an easygoing thing. At the end of the lunch I was leaving and he asked me if I kept my camera with me.   We both laughed, as it was something that we had in common, and within the hobbies and things that we take on, we both had something in common. A small worked if you ask me.

Being around the same age, when leaving his office I could see that he had a daughter – so he must have went through a divorce, but yet he moved past it.  Why did he, probably there was no choice, why did he have an attitude as such – I think part of it was that he was comfortable in having a conversation on business which led into other things.   Interesting enough his company is one of the largest companies that services commercial airlines in Internationally.  But his life was not based on the company, it was based on his lifestyle.  Hence, we all do have a common thread. Not everyone, but some of us within what we write. And how we tend to writing.  As it’s all in the manner in how we approach things. Aside of that it seems that a cold front is coming - but within three months it shall pass.

Imagination Combined with Free Will

There is no disputing the existence of a free will.

We all have a manner of making choices.  Indeed, we all are in a continual state of deliberating and choice making within our lives.  I don’t think this is about free will versus predetermined destine, but look carefully at how you have chosen to rely on your ability to will your self toward whatever is the desire.  Having and strong will and being filled with the resolve to accomplished goals is seeking within the ego to be the guiding force within your life.

I know my willpower is so much less effective than my imagination. But with that being said imagination is the movement.   I find that the imagination and creativity within my life is linked in with the will regardless of how strong it is. The two are intertwined in a manner that allows me to have that inner picture – when then allows me to participate in the act of know where to direct my will.

I see it this way. My will is that ego portion of myself – that understands that I am different and not entirely separate from everyone, but yet unique. As we all are. My ego will believe that acquisitions, achievements. It’s works in that manner. On the other hand my imagination works within concepts.  If I go back to willing myself to do something when my imagination indicates otherwise – I come to a conclusion of no.  However if I take my imagination I have a well-routed mix of how I shape my life, and lifestyle.

There are so many times in my life that I took the time to imagine where I would be, and then I mixed my ego into it.  I blended the two. What did I do and where has that lead me. It’s leaded me to several levels of wealth. Not in a monetary manner – in a manner of doing things in which others would think I was going out on a limb.  I never existed, I thrive on success in a manner that I mentioned above and I am not sure if this comes across correctly – but when it comes down to it – it’s about the will to work in a harmony that brings about in all times of life.

All that said – Season Greetings to everyone that observes the time of Christmas.

Everyone Wants To be At Home

We all do take responsibility for charting our own course in life, we may well go in an entirely different direction from the one laid out for us by society and familial expectations. Mine was one that was an open ended direction – without an exact location, but some cadence and networks. This can be uncomfortable in the short term, but in the long term it is much worse to imagine living this precious life without ever taking the wheel and navigating our own course.  In all this said I am in the midst of a move and I have been traveling of around six weeks now. Sure we all take responsibility with what we do and we do have obligations. In coming to this city I was determined to settle down in a new city. I found that the last four days have not been that easy.

Finessing so much can be a long day to say the least but finally I will have accomplished my new goals effectively this weekend.  As I have a new place in a new city. I will have to go and rent our or sell my other place – but that won’t be till the New Year.  I am not sure how many people have lived in hotels but I can honestly say that regardless – it’s going to be nice to get settled in. Two meetings to day and then some work, then two trips for furniture as well as then ending up at the dentists office with an infection in my upper gum.  I am on an antibiotic and I can wait to just get into my own home.  At least I have not major situation with my teeth, but what I found amazing was that I met a few new friends – as the dentist is from Peru, and most of his staff are from the middle part of latin America.

After I left yesterday, I was told to go back as I am on two medications for the infection and I can’t wait as there is an entire Spanish community here. Most are from Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and the middle portion of Latin America.  I certainly look forward to this.  But meanwhile, with the things taken place this week it’s been rather hard and much multi tasking. I look forward to just getting in my place and putting my feet up.  The reason – you can be yourself within your own home.

If there is one thing that I can say - I planned last summer to go to Latin America and then I was side tracked. So all in all, aside of the infection, one more day and then I can be within my home.

Thriving With Patience

I will write this as we always thrive on results.  I certain I am not alone on this thought.  Sitting here after a day of several things unrelated to the Internet. I sure that there are people desire to have things take place quickly.

In my previous writing I mentioned about contradictions. Well, perhaps I am writing a contradiction or the way it is.

In deciding to hold on with my plans to go to another city and yet while at the same time extended my stay for good reason.  There are a few very delightful people here that are from this small town. As well there are some most interesting people that I have found coming here from different places of the world and as well as the folk that work and live here.

After a full day I had a call from a friend that is sort of reliant on my going to visit him soon. Meanwhile, I extended my booking here within this hotel. Based on waiting for a few things to arise.

So the decision comes to be do I go to a city to visit a friend for one day and come back as there is one gem of a situation that I am waiting for and after this weekend my intention was then to go onto two other cities. I am not certain of this, however it will be necessary to make one tomorrow night.

One side of myself that is thinking stay till the end of my booking as I have planned on. Then there is another side that has that obligatory area of making a one day trip and come back.  Upon getting the telephone call tonight I mentioned to my friend that I would give him a call tomorrow. This will give some time and allowance to making a decision that allows me to decide on if I will go. I already feel I should stay put and then thereafter go thereafter. But it gives me time to let him take it all in and re approach it and then there is an understanding.

I had a call from my mother today and she indicated that my father had a good treatment 3rd treatment of therapy with his cancer. She mentioned that his words for her to tell me are that he is very proud of me.  This is good, it’s of value, and it’s family.

What does this all come too in conclusion? I am neither sure nor certain.
I know or realize there are several things that I am working with and in some manner – there is always a way. There is always a manner to multi task in a method that brings it all together without no hard feelings.

I guess we all require that timetable to be working on our side but sometimes I remind myself that moments seem to change each and every day.  And with that being said change is good, patience is a method to a means.  But the meaning never unfolds till the journey is completed. But in having patience gives way to not requiring immediate results, rather adapting to working time in a manner that is working with you rather than against you. Well this is a banter, but that is my write and as well for those celebrating the holidays of Thanks Giving - enjoy!

One important value of sorts is living within the day and understanding that if you don’t succeed first, try again…

~ What does Peace Mean to You ~

What is Peace to you, if I can kindly ask?  What do you imagine as a better world in a manner that can be ideological, or straightforward.  Here is where some will partake and some won’t.

I really don’t know why. Do we live in a society that is only based on “I”? Everyone has his or her own ideals and perspectives. And I certainly know that everyone is tired of this area to even be discussed however each and everyone of us have something that we desire. Some have more some have less. I think that within the dynamics of a world being one that so desires for peace this is Iraq has become a sensationalized issue now – within politics. Yet we as ordinary human beings do have our own vantages on how we would deem to be a better world.

Not going to say it – but I think that no one will even touch this write. Why – I don’t know. With a few I do know why.  “No one can achieve anything in this world without the mankind.” We are not an island onto ourselves. We are who we are. That renders somthing with regards to how we see a better world - from our own vantages.
