Within the Gift - wrote on this date last year.

As the eve of Christmas approaches I have been sending out "gift" messages. To look at things with a respect to all during this season or any season is truly what I feel is the meaning of what faith and this season is all about.  The gift of giving is something that you humbly do it as it's something that one does deem worthy. Every country has different rituals within culture, the manner that I was raised and have always lived by offline is to treat every person within the same manner. Gratitude does come into play with all that is within our sphere of a nature of cultural equality and goodwill to all mankind.

~ Within the Gift ~

God gave the eagle wings to soar
Aloft, and heaven's high arch
from which to explore
With keen dazzling sights
God gave to man the wings of the mind
Coupled with the soul which both intertwine
Dwelling to search, find and explore
Not afar but maybe within a certain space
Nor far beyond the source of light
Need not be concerned
As the pathway so often
Not afar but so endearingly near
What is all encompassed within it all
Merely the most simple touch
Within the stem of life
Life, Love, Peace and Gratitude
Render the precious and not much more

  1. A very powerful endearing words neatly and wonderfuly written by no other than you, Jack. Beautiful ...

    And God gave the Eagle
    the power to fly
    to let mankind see
    how he encompasses
    and guide his instruments
    You an I
    liken to an Eagle
    depends entirely
    obey and gives fully
    to God's call
    ... of peace, and gratitude
    and above all Love.
    As he spread his wings
    Unity is unfolding
    as he round the spaces
    within his spheres
    And faith within. ~maritess* :)

  5. Let's keep in mind the truth of Christmas Day;
For it's not the Christmas wrappings, nor the gifts that lie within,
But our gift of love to others in every way...

  7. "Merely the most simple touch" - reminds me of the widow's mite in Luke 21 where Jesus said: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. (Luke 21:4 KJV)

For some, the simple touch is all we have.
