Each and every one of us has a story to tell and they are all important. It's easy to forget sometimes that everyone has a story to tell if we take the time to listen. We are so accustomed to hearing the stories of people in the news that we sometimes lose track of the fact that the random stranger on the bus also has a fascinating story about where they came from and how they got to be where they are. The sheer variety makes it all very captivating to say the least. Sometimes the shy, quiet person at work has the most amazing life story and the biggest dreams, it is up to us to take the time to find out.
Some people travel a path of wealth and privilege, while others struggle with only themselves to rely on, and both have great stories to tell. Each person learns lessons, makes choices, and develops a unique perspective, which only they can claim and share. Even two people who have had very similar lives will have slightly different experiences, leading them to a different point of view, so each person remains a treasure trove waiting to be explored. When we take the time to ask questions and listen, we find that every person has a fascinating story to tell and an utterly unique perspective from which to tell it. Bearing this in mind, we have the opportunity to approach the world around us in a new way. There is never any reason to be bored at a party, or on the bus, or in a conversation with a stranger. When we retain the spark of curiosity and the warmth required to open someone up, we always have in front of us the makings of a great story.
For within the arena of social networking there is always some form of story that just can be found - as that is what makes this all so interesting.
and as each of our story is unique it is also connected to the strange--and it is that connection that makes us equal
ReplyDeleteSince everyone has a story it colors their dress, their actions and reactions and ability to open up. I try not to judge someone based on the truth that I do not know their story which contributes to only a piece of what I know of them.
ReplyDeleteGetting to know someone is wonderful even if it is only a glimpse in time.
Yes it does, as I am just thinking of how to summarize all that happened within the day and what was the most interesting thread within it all.
ReplyDeleteYes it's all within the words Mel and I think that there is that ability to have common grounds and enjoy this all as I am just thinking here with regards to my day. And the array of others and there days. There is something to that.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is a story teller. Bards are the most excepted form of Druid.
ReplyDeletelol.
Neat Erika...but this was a day...and today with no doubt was my own story.
ReplyDeleteWhere one thing leads into another....
yes Jack, everyone has a story to render from within to without. that is why those surveys are sometimes fun to do, so you can find out new things about the people whom you interact with, here online. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really can be all too cool Suzy...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your story then, Stain.
ReplyDeleteAnd your day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine day to you too, Jack. :)
ReplyDeleteI wrote it fast but it was to do with something that I have done for years and I met someone and well I wrote it rather
ReplyDeletefast but it was my day and story...http://initiativestain.multiply.com/journal/item/1309/One_Day_CAN_be_that_Very_Day
Back at you there Suzy!
ReplyDeleteI have met some fantastic people on the internet, I call them my "web friends". One of them calls her web friends her "people'. People are so interesting once you get them to open up and talk about their lives.
ReplyDeleteNancy I was just about to head off here but it's all rather neat, I will come and go with this and there is a resonance within all of this and to you there as well I know that tomorrow is Sunday and as a friend I wish you - my web friend a very HAPPY VALENTINES, as many on Sunday shall be doing something for it - and the people would it be all to neat if we did all met within person. Yeah.
ReplyDeleteexcellent blog.
ReplyDeleteYes there are interesting people everywhere and the potential for so many stories to be told. It sure does make life interesting , thanks for the blog
ReplyDeleteI enjoy trying to find those brief moments of sharing like on a bus or at the grocery store or at the mall. My husband isn't so social in that aspect, kind of bugs me, because I think he's missing out on those little treasures one can find and get from those brief encounters.
ReplyDeleteI agree,
ReplyDeletetoo true...why i love this social network. it's so much easier to find the person within. those friends that we have known for a long time, now that they have a blog of fb to share more openly it's brought to light so much more...my friends are more well rounded to me now. :))
ReplyDeleteThank you Crystal....
ReplyDeleteThere really are and another day of something rendered offline but I can say this - literally everyone Cheryl is connected now by way of
ReplyDeletethis internet as I found today after going back to this Dojo, and speaking with some people from all over.
It does boggle the mind in a manner - yet I still do believe within that area of human comunications - perhaps these are soulful notes.
Susan, I am not sure if men blog as much as women to be very honest. It would be interesting to see what the statistics are
ReplyDeletebut I think there is that placement within everyone's area that they do wish to share something by the means of there own
privacy - it's kind of like our own inner dialogue and we are sending within our own privacy - as we all have our own privacy.
Perhaps married men wish to stay afar as the first thing that does come to mind with this is something of a love or meeting
place. For myself, it's a place that is within the realm of friends - and as far as relationships that stays within my own
life dynamics, so as a single man I am on here for good decent encounters and I do enjoy it all within balance.
We agree we take the time to understand that there are some that play it and there are some
ReplyDeletethat have a merit and reason to be on here.
I kind of think Kim your a many steps in front of me on this one. You have a well rounded scope there as you know.
ReplyDeleteNot dumb here Kimmy.
RIGHT!
ReplyDeleteGetting in touched with old friends are certainly a good decent way of going back in time. But we must be careful in doing so, so as not to create a wrong impressions of relieving old ties, old flames or what have we ...
ReplyDeleteSpecially to the the opposite gender. There's nothing wrong if it is just work related issues.
:)
