"ARE YOU ON FACEBOOK? SO ARE WE. Become a fan on Facebook ® and get the latest news, sports, photos, videos and more, right in your Facebook news feed." Somehow it seems that all too many websites now are on facebook it's rather hard in setting it up as I have seen so many emails that indicate that there are continually holes in it. There is a blizzard going on here and it's a staycation today. I am not sure if you get this but seeming there are some sites now that one almost has to have facebook.

  6. Well I shall see as there is a way but I do wish to set it up properly as you can blog on there and then send it into here in some manner.
Yet I do believe in privacy and not having FB taking over your computer.

  7. you cant blog on fb,it allows comments only with 495 characters including spaces, you can post music or links but by an large its not somewhere you can hang out on,not like multiply or the likes.its great for tracking down old friends or school chums

  8. Facebook isn't set up to be a blogging site. It sucks as one.

  9. Tried Facebook before, not a place for me , Multiply is a much better site , all I found on Facebook was pages of updates from friends and their friends , just a place to gossip abot another person. x

  10. a blizzard! yikes!!! yes...i "like" a lot of businesses on FB. It is a good way to get some deals and know about new products. also a great way to keep up with the bands i like and know what new things they are up to. it's cool being one of the first one's to know!

  11. btw...FB doesn't take over my computer. I don't invest/waste time on the many applications and games they have on there. I just use it to update my "status" to let friends know in a short blurb what i'm up to, to share links to things I like, to share pictures, and to keep up with my friends and family all over. i've had a blog forever (yahoo and then here), but not many of my friends keep up with my blogs, just my "virtual" friends. So for me FB is where I can see what my long lost family & friends are up to and vice versa. (plus my teenagers are on FB, so I can see a lot of things they are up to as well that they don't usually tell me..hehe).

http://www.facebook.com/#!/kim.durrant this is my page if you want to see the kinds of things I share there.

  12. oops...nevermind. guess you can't see it if you don't have a FB account. I just logged out to check.

  13. I have never opened it in some time but there was an application within it but and well I guess for now I will just leave it be as I used to have it and it's there but we shall see it's one of those things where you have to have the settings right but I think I shall leave it for now. However every page you go to has a facebook icon but there is not one for Multiply - go figure.

  14. I rarely post updates on Facebook in my status. I think it's a little ostentatious, twitter as well. I see people posting where they are during the day, what they are eating etc. Like he world revolves around them. I mean if I actually have news that the family should know, yes I post something. That seems to be less hen once a month. As for the games...Facebook is a social networking site. Part of the games are cooperation between players to accomplish goals. You can send each other gifts and help with tasks. I is good interaction with people. I have gotten closer to some distant cousins by playing the games. For the first time we actually talk to each other and interact. Plus I have found there are some interesting life and business tips you can learn from the games if played properly. People have tried ou theories on business practices to find them successful in both the game and life. So I don't think they are a waste

  18. I have a few friends and (extended) family members who are on FB, and they all seem to becoming more and more dissatisfied with it for a variety of reasons. As a matter of fact, a few of them rarely ever visit their FB accounts. I have a Twitter account and lost interest in that within a week's time. As for FB, no one has been able to entice me to join yet, and I doubt very much if that will change. To each his own. *smile*

  25. There have been so many problems on Facebook that they are now not allowing people to add anyone that they do not personally know. I have no idea how they will manage to control this. A lot of private photos have been pirated from Facebook users and are being used by other websites, sometimes in the most unflattering light.

  26. I know and there within things for myself the last thing I wish to do is get tied to this. However I do love to write and there are things within life and then there are things within technology. If it wasnt for what came here otherwise I would not even have thought of it.

  27. I know what you mean Jack and I wonder if companies get some kind of kick-back to link into FB. I refuse to use it, myself. The security issues are horrendous.

  36. Sue your certainly right on that one. I get emails from my main server and Ziff Davis ever day it seems
with areas that have warning with remedies to the effects of FB.
It really takes a pro to know how to set it up accordingly.
