The IPad is Amazing.avi

I have to admit today while browsing within two malls this IPad really hit it off for me. It is merely $500.00 and what this small creation can do it's something that just all too amazing.

Even the specs for this blew me away. So I think it's time to send good old Saint Nic a letter but I better courier it as I don't have his email address!
However I spent a good hour at least in going through the store.

  1. I have been to the iPad demonstrations and it's great for some things. With me being a writer it pretty much sucks for my purpose.

  4. My friends son in law was showing me his. I was very tempted when I saw it on their website for $448 I think. Then I noticed that there are no USB ports so I can download photos. So I might as well just keep using this laptop.

  6. Well I just got this laptop going and I since I have come to find that the laptop seeming fits me much better.
When I saw the price and how it all work Summers there are those needs and wants and this probably is a want but...:)
The specs for such a small thing amazed me and the size of the hard drive. As well combined with the price.

  7. My problem is that they are somewhat limited in their use. They are great if you surf the web and play online games. When it comes to any type of processing they aren't up to par. I think they are selling right now because they are a novelty. Like someone said no USB so no way to connect to most digital cameras or peripherals

  8. I think you have to load pictures via the memory card

  9. Not sure but it's rather something if you went back 8 years ago it would be comparable to a desktop computer yet more.

  10. I would still prefer my new notebook than the iPad it works for more. It's for teens, the young genre. :)

  11. Yeah it would have to be used in conjuction with - I am not sure with this Sharon, seemingly there is an adapter in which you can - I could be wrong.

  18. In order to connect most camera cables to an iPad you have to get a serial port extender because Apple did not put a serial port into the iPad. The third generation will come out with a serial port connection built in. Also if you do a lot of writing the touch pad keyboard can be an issue. Like I said if you are pretty much jus surfing he web and playing games it is good. That is what it was designed for.

  19. I should also say that where my daughter works roughly 1/3 of the iPads were returned because they didn't do what people's laptops did and didn't serve people's purposes.

  20. I guess it all depends on what a person desires Sharon.

  21. I think more what a person is doing. Apple still has not matched PC technology in scientific and numeric crunching. Many programs are written for PC not Apple. In order to make Apple products more useful Apple had to come up with a operating systen that converts the Apple to a PC to run them, and then not all functionality works correctly. Mac's were designed as graphic computers and word processing. They were never designed to crunch statistics or handle most programming tasks. Even most PC games won't work on a Mac/iPad. For me it's fairly useless. I do things that it just can't handle and for me it would be an expensive digital picture frame.

  22. My daughter has an iphone and I love to play with it! I told her I want one of those iPads and she laughed. She knows I could figure it out. It's funny though when she is here to visit and gets on my computer and tries to show me how to do stuff and I already know how. My kids think I am ..... what do you call it....techno-not? lol
