Once I did read - Computers made Easy for Dummies :)

The last two days I have been taking my time with getting two computers set up. I have this desktop and then my laptop and as of the other day I drove and got this new modem which is really a router combined with a wireless and this is really chore but I have most all of it done yet I do need a at least a mouse to go with my laptop as I have the darnedest time in using my finger to touch that little pad if you know what I mean. So I have not been on much the last two days but hopefully within a few I shall have all within sync.

My intention was to write as story on thanks giving but literally there is not enough time within the day. Mind you thus far I have formatted and placed back on an operating system on my Desktop. And I am nearly there with my laptop. This can be a chore to say the least.

So I think for tonight as I have been on here the laptop that is. I will shut it down and go back to my desktop.

  1. You are one brave man, Jack. Is there such a thing as Cell Phones for Dummies? I'm having a bit of a problem...

Good luck with your router and wireless thing and all the other things. ~Darbie

  2. I think Darbie, I shall leave it for the day as I am not into all this programing with computers any more. It's really work.
Cells well that is another thing but I use my cell very basically, and my lan phone - I used allot. Telephones were made
for calling and I don't do all that much with my cells with the exception to basically a few friends and family an no more.
So it's time to just log out and within the morning tomorrow just see that everything on here is set up and now I am going to ther
other one :) The desktop that is.

  5. I know what you mean about the little square and a finger, I have a mini laptop for traveling and got a little wireless mouse for it. I think it was about $12 or so. We are celebrating Thanksgiving Sunday, well maybe all weekend as my daughter and her husband are coming in tonight after she gets off work at 10 p.m. and they have a 2 hour drive. He usually brings a stack of DVDs to watch but I'm going to try to get them interested in looking through some of their junk they have in storage here and loading up some of it. Wish me luck on that! please.....

  8. yeah I have to get on of those and I always seemingly close down my laptop, but it shall be nice to use it again now that all is programmed on it. It's been a long time. I have to learn how to use my Nero and burn everything as I never did back up once within my lifetime on computer.

  9. Since my router called and offered it to me free as it all comes my bundle package, I knew that at some point I did wish to get all things set up.
So again si. Btw, I have to come back and read what you wrote on your blog.

  12. I'm not much of a computer person, I'd be lost without Jerry and Aaron to help me. Guess I'm more "gifted" in other areas. But, I learn as I need to, and go from there. That book would be good for me, I suppose :)

  13. My tendancy is a book, but this really is something that is so different that you can literally read and the manner that it's used is so .....I can't describe it but I certainly am rather fancy this, and I really never thought I would be till I saw how "gizmo" natural it was.
