Not much here for getting into all the politics that are going on in America. I know that today is an election day. But the manner that I see it is that two years ago there was so much hope and now there is such deception. You can't go back in history but you can only go forward in what not one country but several. Certainly we pride ourselves on what each country has done in the past. I would rather stay away from this subject but politics are politics and if we think that anything can be done within the US or for that matter in any country within a two year period I think we are fooling ourselves. I know that there are many against war including myself as well many seemingly are fed up with governments at large. But the one thing that you do have to ask yourself is a different government right now going to make any significant changes. I have a friend on here that was writing on this. I did make a comment and we live within a society that only we can make the best of it. To quote some of the famous Presidents or Prime Ministers would be redundant.
I myself feel that regardless of whom is within power there really is not going to be a change in America or within any country. It's something that I think we just have to give allowance at this time. For some that is harder than others but the manner that I feel from viewing things from this side of the border it's shall all work it's way out.
Just my own thoughts on global views and without a negate on any country. I myself sit rather idle when it comes to these matters now but two years ago I was elated with whom came into office and at that time he mentioned that he would not resolve all the problems of the world let alone his own country. Maybe some of you do remember this.
Last - I am not much for Tea Parties. I like my coffee in the morning and am not trying to be negative with all that is coming about. However, I am not living within America but I do see what is taking place and I have never seen the likes of what the media can spin. Let alone some that will go to any extent to get a vote. It's amazing to say the least.
Looking at it from both sides....
I'm with you. I have become fed up with the political commercials every station break. The roads littered with political signs, the negative campaigns, the lies, the stupidity etc. I want tomorrow over and done with. I don't think anyone in office can make a change in a day, week, month or year. I do think we were put in one hell of a mess in 8 years with one Presiden who turned his back on a whole lot of things which brought us to where we are today. Bu people have short memories and want miracles so blame blame blame and complain constantly yet in he end nothing gets down and campaign speaches are a joke.
ReplyDeleteI know it's a bi election but it's been something as you look at the news online or on the television and it's amazing I have never seen anything like it and I am not going to say it doesnt happen here as it does within Canada but not to the extent of what one sees on the american channels. I hope things can take a turn as regardless of whom wins they all are faced with the very same situations and dealing with them predmoninatly within the same manner. Two years certainly is not enough time to resolve the past 8. Just my own thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHave other countries went through things as such in different way - yes. And they handled them as well some better than others.
ReplyDeleteThis one is a whammy. But not going to sensationalize it. I hope it works out for the best.
si amigo--tomorrow is the vote----crazy campaign this time----witches and ghosts and lies and hate and those who cannot understand the most basic principle of the constitution running for high office----way too much emotion and way too little problem solving----i'm with you amigo---i like coffee---as a little girl i am sure that i had tea parties---stuffed animals and dress up----but just as dressing up as a child does not make one a doctor(we have medical school for that)--dressing up and mis spelling slogans does not qualify one for high office----8 yrs of the previous administration --wars/outsourcing/pandering to the rich/playing at leadership as if it were some lego creation that could be dismantled and rebuilt---it will take time -- creative solutions and co operation to fix this mess---
ReplyDeletewe have all paid the price--all countries---all peoples---for a game that began as a lie----it is time to accept the truth and build upon it---but i fear that there are too many who hate more than they tolerate--who follow just to have somewhere to go---who would rather believe a lie than understand the truth....tomorrow will tell a part of the story but not the end---we amigo---those of us who understand---must write that ...........si?-
I love America the one I know, but I am certainly not for all the poltics that go with it and all is as I had mentioned but I would not have some of the good friends I do. I just feel that way and no one party is perfect but seemingly it became so involved for this midterm. But I would rather look at things from another perspective but America and history are and always have been something I have cherished. There is so many things to learn rather than all the desention that one sees. And I think it does not exist within just America, other countries have had the same thing but the means and ways in which it's dealt with might be different. But never will I say that I hate America. To the contrary and not for reasons of being politically correct. Actually politically correct might very well be at question these days. Tomorrow comes and how many billions have been spent for what is called the this word called the truth. For some yes, but for so many.
ReplyDeleteRegardless America will rebuild but 8 years have gone by and now how many more years till there is a beginning of good change. Perhaps that is what most all people wish for with this midterm.
Hi Jack ,I don't listen to all the political talk i do my research and then vote for the lesser of two evils..

ReplyDeleteThe write is fine Jack..hope your feeling better and have a great night..:)
ReplyDeleteIt goes Julie...:)
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a clean politics in my entire life ... there's always some that would tint on it. And it goes on and on ... a never ending process that as always goes back to one. The same things ... the same history.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that I wish for without any puns is this word called, Hope and good Change Maritess.
ReplyDeleteAnd today is election day. Thank goodness the smear ads on tv will be over and life will go on.
ReplyDeleteI second that Sue.
ReplyDeleteI do not understand American politics whatsoever! I do love tea parties and a cup of coffee!!
ReplyDeleteKeep your chin up and keep on smiling
