Humbleness

What is this thing to be humble?
Humble is that characteristic that is reserve
It’s the manner that you have regard
With each person that you know
It's not shy certainly no
Perhaps it's experience
And then I we always learn on
It's much like the one that listens
Giving that considerate manner
In which one deems fit
Humble is not conservative, neh
Humbleness is something might be
That one that is within the corner
That tends to give
One gives
Yet one renders there own
Maintaining a cadence
Within this communication
Is that organized and for the render, no
It's merely with consideration
Not much more and with something
Which is deemed with worth

  2. You describe that very well. Very nicely written,

Sometimes I think of a child often in that word humble - Adorable as they are, little children clearly lack the maturity, experience, and wisdom generally associated with age-however they have qualities I think sometimes we lose-- they could be in a group of adults, and a child will ask the most unusual questions sometimes. Free of rivalry and malice of people around, innocence in it their questioning and answers.
Children are not only humble; they are teachable. They soak up information like sponges. Children keep on asking ‘Why?’ until they find satisfying answers to their questions, they don't usually worry about what people will think about what they don't know. They are often trusting,

I had a friend who's daughter had never seen someone of a different race. They lived a very isolated life on a ranch. And at almost 5. Her mother attended this Church service while visiting. The first thing her daughter said when she did (which her Mother worried about) -" see her dress, it's so pretty?" With no thoughts to her race at all. And the girl who she was talking about said to her. You got very straight hair.
And off they went to play.

Sometimes you have to wonder if it is possible for adults to recapture the beautiful qualities like those associated with the humbleness and innocence of childhood.

"It’s the manner that you have regard
With each person that you know" -- That was Interestedly put

(P.S, add on---------Lynne's child ( ^ ^) has said some remarkable humble things too-seeing her answer your post now-that I just thought about seeing Lynne)

  5. There isnt a day that I don't go and take a visit to Lynne site Haddy although I am not sure which on specifically but children don't presume much they just live. It's the manner that you have regard with each person that you have. I think there is something in not keeping something alive for the sake of number on here but within life and perhaps on here too there is a manner that which one does it and with resprect and I too think that coincides with the manner of our own characteristics as well as the manner that we deem fit. Perhaps humbleness really does equal the the a form of respect.

There is a meaning to this ying and yang symbol.

  6. Thank you Maritess, I am not looking to live on here however I do just enjoy it and I have yet to see what happened last night with the snow storm. First I thought I would take a peak in here. The willows are still standing I am sure in reference with to the story about the willow and the oak tree. A grand short philosophical story.

  8. perfect.... ying/yang sign to express the humble thoughts. My humbleness comes in knowing there is an all knowing God who has created everything and I owe it all to him. All the blessings in my life come through him. Yes, I work for what I have and I give of myself to others. But it is because of the things that I have been given by Him that I can accomplish these things. I give thanks to Him for all things and I feel that when others come to help me, it is through Him they do this and will obtain their blessings in doing so. Sometimes I feel I am forced to be humble by having certain things I am used to having taken away. My prayers for help are even more substantial and I rely on My father in Heaven even more so to guide me in the things that I should do. Don't mean to sound too "preachy", just where my mind goes when I think of humble.

    Great thoughts of yours Jack!

  9. Caroline compassion and patience but within that but humbleness. It's something that is one that is not
introverted but is reserve. There is a meaning of this ying and yang and I hope to write on it. There is a meaning
that some may not know of what they chinese were doing as it was bring about a symbolic factor from other
    cultures as well.

  10. This is fine Kim, the circle means something which would be source. I don't think your preaching at all as this symbol and as well faith is something that even an atheist has. I always maintain my own thoughts when it comes to religion as but I heard the story regarding this symbol while I was somewhere and it was by someone that was right next to me a few weeks ago and he was a retired half native man that was retired from the Army. I had know what the chinese symbol meant as it's was much along the lines of faith as well as Aikido. As Aikido translated in english means in harmony with ones spirit. In the Japanese culture chi, is the same thing as ki.

  11. oh i love talking to the native americans. my grandmother was adopted in the Sioux Tribe back in the 80's. We were very close to the Chief and his wife. They came to stay with us for a month while they were doing their tribes genealogy work in D.C. Soooo interesting their culture and beliefs, even though they were same religious as we were, still different culture thing they integrated there. Things that made so much sence. I would also love to investigate, learn further the symbol. I do get the gist of it, but have not studied it in depth, but do find it a very spiritual symbolic meaning.

  12. Gratitude and humility go hand-in-hand. Truly grateful people are humble, and it often takes root when a person goes through trials or personal downfalls. It comes from knowing who you are and knowing you are loved, despite the fact that you're flawed, imperfect, and undeserving.

  13. I will write on this symbol and reference it but within the aboriginal/native people evolved from the Chinese. There is symbolism even within there culture with regards to other cultures. I am not native but if one ever notice Kim the colors that are on their leaves there are five I believe and they all were derived by way of five other cultures. As well, there life was all about the earth and there spiritualism is based on the land.

  15. Salaam brother Jack!
    Thanks for sharing this poem!
The essence of humbleness make us learn more and to enrich ourselves.
For instance, the essence of humbleness may mean: we know that there are a lot of things that we do not know and we should learn.
