I had meet with this rehabilitation specialist today. I think it's a good thing as it was all within the planning and we sat down and she literally went through my entire history and all the doctors that I have seen in the hospital as well all that have been set up. It's something when you have to place it all out and sign a paper giving the allowance for one to look into your entire history. Yet there was that assurance. When I met here within the hospital before I was sent home it I honestly had my reservations. I found as with all things that were being addressed that she really had a good jest on all that I had been through and as well the things that were needing to be addressed. Going over all things physically and within the genetics of my family. I guess she was looking to see if I had any genetic dispositions and then she had the list of my physician and two specialists. And it did go well within a good way. She was pleased with all that I was doing and thought that there was a good change in what I was doing. As well she went into goal structures. So I knew that this week was going to be a busy but being busy is good. So all is well, and seemingly everything is working out as planned. She suggested that I return back into the gym and at the same time take it easy as she had done I had a physical done and all things are well. So I meet with her again in two weeks and this is the second stage within this process.
I had taken my car in yesterday to get serviced - later within the day I went back to get it and when I left, I could see that there was something wrong with the steering, so I drove back and the head of the service department took a brief drive with it. He said that he would have it back in ASAP. As this time of the year they are busy within the place called Merlin Ford - this morning they finally got it in and up on the hoist and here the tie rod need to be replaced. So the onus was on them. So since there neglected to do a test drive that comes along as part of the service - I am having that replaced free of charge. Another plus. Coupled with all of this my cousin whom is from my father's side came into town and I was able to get a left downtown and then we had coffee and talked for a good hour. I have not seen Trev in the a few years. He is within his 60's but and from my father’s side. He had no idea of all that had happened with me and then he mentioned that any time to give him a call and he will be more than happy to assist me with anything that I may need. So the talk and all was great as well as the ride. Tomorrow I do have another meeting with another specialist at 1pm. thereafter I will be heading way out on the other side of town to get my car. It shall be a decent day. So all in all everything is going as planned and I am more than pleased with how things have been coming together. The above picture was taken today. It's my cousin that was in town. During his twenties he inherited allot of money as his mother (my aunt) had lost three husbands. Two of my aunt Ed's husbands were killed within the Second World War. Trev went on to travel around the world twice. He was one of those that were within the peace movement. I recall one summer when Trev was home. He had real long hair. Three of my other cousins cut it all off while he was asleep and the next day he was not pleased at all. How he has changed as he is a smart one. I mentioned to him that he seemingly is the ambassador within the family. And his remarks back were, "Not really Jack as I am just living there as most all have moved on."
And he suggested that I might wish to decide to move back there as the town is only 13,000 thousand but they forecast that it will be 25,000 in five years primarily due to all the Potash companies that are opening up new mines at this very moment. Then he married when he was 25.
He is much older than me and the last time that I had seen him in person was nearly five years ago. Yet there is a connect and this was truly the icing on the cake today.
All in all, this was a full day and a great day health wise and otherwise.
Am sure it was a great moment renewing ties with your cousin. Have a great time and do take care in all things :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a great day Jack!
ReplyDeletethanks Maritess, I don't know why I get the comments that you send but I will leave that for you to tend too.
ReplyDeletePam it was I have I had an eval and all things are going real well and all now is set up, as well the car and this pic here
ReplyDeletewas taken today I have not seen him in five years. So it was great to sit down and talk. He was my father's oldest sisters son.
So thank you.
Happy to know you had such an awesome day. Its always wonderful to get together with a loved one that you haven't seen in years.
ReplyDeletethat was a lovely Day for you.. what a nice face your cousin has?
ReplyDelete[by the way ..when we say ,, "go on a Ramble.".over here ,,it means .. a long walk in the country!]..[hugs]
He is really the sensible one and within his age it seems to me that he was a rebel in his twenties and then something changed.
ReplyDeleteSo it was nice. So there is progress and it's all going well Sue. As well he is a minister on the side and has one two daughters
as well as a great wife.
I would never take out a camera within this rehab unit but that went well. And then I am not sure how much a tie rod costs with a
wheel alignment but it's free when I pick it up tomorrow so these are really days that are coming into there own or within a way.
It was good to meet up with him and it came unexpectedly Caroline. How would one put it in Ireland?
ReplyDeleteYes, you have had a productive and satisfying day, but it's too bad they had to keep your car longer due to their oversight. I'm glad the repair is free. Hurrah on the healing, you have been doing well, and can continue to do so. I can picture your cousin with long hair :) It would really make me mad if folks cut off my long hair when I was sleeping, hippy or not!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you got to see your cousin and that the meeting with the rehab specialist went smoothly. Things are looking up, eh Jack?
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a really great day. I'm glad everything from health to getting a break on the car repair to connecting with family went well. It's good to see you are regaining your personal footing in life and fell more balanced.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you had a great day!
ReplyDeleteYeah I dont have a picture but this is him today and oh this has been a busy day but each day is coming along rather well Faye. The car and all it's just patience with cadence.
ReplyDeleteThey are Jo, as well this friend of mine called me from the government assembly and we are planning to do something for my father for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThere is going to be a street name in honor of him.
Sharon I am. I know there are new people appearing within hear but I have literally taken of some blocks as this is Thanksgiving. In some ways I do really miss it all but this thing called Thanksgiving and where it was derived from. Yeah I have an American mentality I am not sure if you ever read "Man without a country", it was truly a one of the best books I ever read. Tomorrow night I shall watch the parade in New York and there is a part of me that misses the manner that Thanksgiving is celebrated within the US.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! Tis a good thing your car was fixed so you can drive down that street ;).
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that things are looking up for you Jack. Keep a smile on your face, and the whole world smiles back at you!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a day filled with some good things and time to reunite with your cousin as well. Have a good night.
ReplyDeleteShall do and am Cheryl.
ReplyDeletegood health and good days are good for the soul and spirit. glad that you had a good one. :0)
ReplyDeleteim glad everything is doing good..;)
ReplyDeleteLinda it's going good.
ReplyDeleteIt is. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, now, it sounds like you had a really good day overall! Glad to hear that all is good health-wise! Yaaaay!! :)
ReplyDeleteMary it's going very well and it really is a great time, one could say this but I really have enjoyed each day. I wouldnt trade a thing.
ReplyDeleteI honestly mean that.
That is such great news, Jack. You've been through so much lately, and to hear that things are now going so well pleases me. :)
ReplyDeleteWhen just a little time I truly wish to do some type of production, something more creative, by way of camera and video.
ReplyDeleteI think then there will be some more authenticity within all of this. But I am literally smiling on this end.
You will when you're ready, Jack! Nice to hear that you're smiling!!!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is why it is so important to keep separation of church and state in the U.S., so that one cannot impinge on the freedoms of the other. There are many, many faiths in the U.S. and all should be respected.

ReplyDeleteThat in itself is wonderful! Many HMOs in the States have no 'central data base,' so that the patient must first get permission to obtain their own medical records, and then take copies to the doctor's office! The doctors are allowed only so much time per visit, and can you imagine them reading through all that, when it could be on a computer?
There's certainly an 'upside' to your car situation. A very good day, I would say.
Your uncle looks 'young of heart,' and hardly in his sixties, (perhaps that's the reason why).
I'm very pleased for you.
Did they think he was too strong that they cut his hair like Samson?
ReplyDeleteIt seems several things are falling into place for you, glad to read that.
you are keeping connections with family as well as discovering your own inner strength--es bien
ReplyDeleteSig he is my cousin but really is of the age where he could be nearly my uncle in many ways he is like that to me. Right now I got word that the car will not be ready till 3pm. And I have this other specialist at 1pm. So here I am online it was great in seeing him my cousin Trev that is.
ReplyDeleteEverything here is all within a database so everything is monitored with each patient and once you have things set up - they work. If I had as many dates as I have with these doctors I would have it made :)
DJ all things are just now I had a call and I and this one specialist can see me at 11am rather than 1pm so this as well works out good.
ReplyDeleteLOL back then he had a poney tail at times and well it was snipped off.
Si, I am, the most important thing is reconnecting with many and I am glad that I am.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the medical team are getting to know you inside out. And us outside -in.
ReplyDeleteI think it's going to be all right-sounds like good hands are around you.
.
Haddie as of today I literally have a team and I really have come a long ways within just a short period of time.
ReplyDeleteSo one within the sytem it really works and I literally have all things within placement and it's good.
So the last three days where what I expected but at the same time all is well and in place and it can only just
get better one of the most well know specialist here was the last that I met here today and it was a good eye
opener as out of all that I have met with and have been looked over with - this specialist literally is my fav and
is one of the best. I kind of feel as thought I have been truly been exposed in all areas mind and body.
So it's all good.
Glad you could make a great connection with your rehabilitation team.... keep your chin up and keep on smiling.
