I don’t think we ever reach the exact destination that we intend on. Yet we are beings of creating. Have you noticed how often we use up the present moments of our lives, the very precious currency of life, consumed with a longing to be someplace else, doing something else? Or we waste present moments feeling guilty about the past or apprehensive about the future. We can ease this dilemma by learning to pay attention to what’s going on in the inner world of our thoughts. I believe the key of wellness is the ability to be in the present within the moment. However we have to come to terms with the past and sometimes that can be consuming. I think it’s it is all right to reflect with regards to the past. Yet we are right within the moment within our thoughts but we have that consideration of what is now and this leads into the future. There definitely is a future, but not now. I make no mistake within my own goals within living complete. People have there own idea of what complete means to them, which is what makes life so interesting. Certainly there life is not perfect and if you set yourself up for feeling that it is, I know from experience within my own life that there were things that have come my way which do throw a curve ball now and then and one has to filter out and get out of themselves to afford the ability of life. Life is not a mechanical way of living yet it’s a unique way of living. Each person wishes to live to the utmost and to be centered as well as complete.
I can either use this time within a state of appreciation rather than depreciation – that is my own very choice. I can decide to phone old friends once again or not. The ego plays a large part within this as when we are hurt or something happens we tend to hold in things rather that process them within a manner that creates abundance regardless of how simple it may be. It’s all with regards to choices. Some are very proud and I suppose each one of us are proud but have you ever seen that person that never assumes anything and just does things within a simple manner? In my experience those are the people that are usually the most content. As it brings yourself back to a state of appreciation for where you are. As we all do want more of something but there is something to be said about being content. Discarding thoughts of depreciation at lead into appreciative thoughts, which render many positives. When you find yourself depreciating anyone or anything in your immediate present moment space, see if you can substitute a thought of appreciation. I know within my own life right now if I plan to live up to every ones expectations, I am not within harmony with myself. Sometimes tricking the mind to think your doing well is great, yet there is times in which pending what a person is facing only they can determine what is the best way make this life one of worth. Each has there own set of ideals, and if it works don't break it. However we are always emerging and evolving. In five years from now will I be the same person exactly that I am now? Well with a laugh I really don't think so I don’t look at things that far ahead, I would rather be content within the now.
The essence of the entire message here is to be here now. Is there really any other person to be that oneself? It’s a question that so often we tend to think about at a certain stage within life and my own thoughts are within just being myself, there will always be rejection within areas of life yet when one lets go they render far more in being nothing more than being comfortable with oneself and that does take some confidence as so often we view things as if they are better but within life it really does not work that way. Yet there is only one person that can do it, certainly we can look for others from which to lean on but I find that life is in accordance to our very own selves. As even married people have there own individuality. What seemingly works is something that brings joy and ones confidence is has that trickle up effect rather than a stalemate. Notice when you are wishing you were somewhere else, or someone else or changing your ways to present perfection within the eyes of others. What I find is that there are some things within the near future which shall be very humbling, however if I when I take that time to render whom I am, I am one of many. Each and every one of us is nothing more that what we are and how we shape our own lives.
So I am not there yet I don’t think I ever will be as if I did so I would be setting up borders. Borders keep one locked up within their own ideas. I would rather be border less within my life stream. Not a sermon nor anything but just my own thoughts.
"Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into."
This was a man from Michigan that went on to study mankind and has take more than half his life in travelling the world in the learning of mankind.
His name is Dr. Wayne Dyer.
Each one has his/her own ways of taking ... or shall I say, living their moments. And for whatever purpose it may serve them. I for myself learned to live each day. Never assuming anything nor thinking far for I am not sure if I will still be here by then. But then again one has to conform to gain the harmony, and not just thinking of myself ... but rather go with the flow, with my heart towards others.
ReplyDeleteNice thoughts again by you, Jack. tight hugs over there :)
... and i am looking forward to whatever pathways God has intended me to thread on ... with an open heart and an open mind :)

ReplyDeleteGreat post, we travel towards some unknown destination we will know when we get there
ReplyDeleteWe shall and it may not be the ideal or perfect. It can also take a twist but the main thing is within just being in tune this word of contenment I feel Tee.
ReplyDeleteI find that I could set myself up for a fall if I think within terms of perfection. I am reading this book by this man, and I have literally read this book several times over it's not a bible but it's something that I have pulled out from time to time and what I find is that he is not telling anyone what to do but he speaks from experience. As well, it's not a copy and past actually it may sound a little bizzarre but I connect with it and have for the last five years.
I have books like that
ReplyDeleteI found at a certain time I had read so many success and business books on how to reach for the top that they really were appropriate in my younger years and then I found by way of just browsing and I looked at his books and as well as many of talks that were broadcasted on PBS and he never talks about what you should do rather it's something that you already know. They call him new age however he was a sociologist for since the 70's and he has been around for a long time and like many musicians he has come to be very popular to some. Yet I enjoy just writing within my own manner but there is something that I do render within what he writes about and he is something that I find very appropriate at this time.
ReplyDelete"look with your understanding find out what you already know and you will see the way to fly"-jonathan livingston seagull

"there are some wounds i never speak about-somethings that words have done to me that none will ever know"---rod mckuen
we all have our words that we live by--si amigo?----some lofty and some not so much........................
"i'm not a fuckin' drag queen"---better than chocolate(introduced to me by one of the most genuine and loving and honest persons i have ever been humbled enough to love---) si amigo---some moments are indeed treasures ..................

ReplyDeleteI think when one looks within and lives according to one's own belief's and abilities that's when one falls into the realm of contentment. Its pressure from others that makes us doubt ourselves and that then brings discontent .... acceptance and belief ... understanding that the balances of life come no matter what and each lesson learned is another fibre added to character ..... the journey is our choice entirely ....
ReplyDeleteI am reminded of Eckhart Tolle and his emphasis on the "NOW". He talks about how to just BE and stay in the moment--I am still working on that one. But when one can truly be in the now, that relieves a heap of worries, eh?
ReplyDeleteHe streses that the source of unhappiness is not the situation but our thoughts about it. Makes sense to me.
Like your words bout being borderless through life. Funny thing about borders/walls...they can keep "bad" stuff out but they can also keep "good" from getting in.
Lynne I believe so as it's been that next step and I have done a decent walk mind you it's cold and as well I have made the necessary arrangements for the week medically and this is certainly a balancing act. There is a lesson to be learned within this and as I walked afterwards I do pay a price with it but while walking it gets all the circulation going. Within the journey there are several things that come about but one accepts it. There really is a choice and the choice here is to not to waiver on what I know have set up regardless of everything, pain, or anything that can waiver me from this time period of recuperation.
ReplyDeleteEvery week starting today I have a diary in which I will look back on every two weeks and I know that when I look back at it I will and shall see progress.
Jo I am not much worried about much. I just do it. What is the worst that can happen and as mentioned I did what I set out to do for the first four hours of the day and the key right now is in doing. Now is definately where it's at. Sometimes what we preceive as being bad is actually good. That sounds rather strange but I am not worried, not depressed yesterday I got on here and I know that I have a few things that are going with include a TMJ that hits now and then due to an extraction and healing from this neuro damage, but once I was told that all things will come back - it gives that thing called hope. So I am living pretty much within a simple manner right now. So I keep it on the up and up and with balance. The power went out in the neighbourhood but and I made a call when I arrived back home and they said it was going to be two hours and within 15 minutes it the power came on so this is good. One stage at a time is good, and I remember reading and listening to Eckhart Tolle but I will have to down load some site where I can listen to a few of his audios.
ReplyDeleteAnd be in constant awareness by those antidepressant prescribed [trycylic antidepressant* or what they called TCAs* they can caused stroke often times fatal ones. TCAs are chemical components commonly found in most all anti-depressant meds. And if this were taken alongside other medicines ... the more chances.
ReplyDelete... just googled it out, alongside, TMJ*.
