Glenn Beck kicked off his radio show by thanking the many attendees at Saturday's theme of,"Restoring Honor within America" in front of the Lincoln Memorial, give me a break. Does Larry King do the same thing - No. Beck is a DJ on a syndicated radio program. Do we really deem the likes of Howard Stern, or other radio host as really altering the thoughts of people? I don’t think so – this is where fiction and facts are being entirely mixed up and contrived by way of the new era of lobbyist as well as one that may be looking to run for office.

  1. How can he get kicked off his own show. You mean he ran out of time? He also does not pretend to be more than an entertainer. if people like what they hear it is their right to do so or not. I doubt he is in the sleeze category as Howard stern, actually no one is. Just sayin'

  8. He does not claim to be a journalist. He admits he is not a reporter, not a politician. he is here to entertain and maybe inform all is all. And the world make s him and Palin the boogieman and woman, it is all propaganda from the ultra left. He never like President Bush for the same reasons he does not think Obama is any good.

  9. Am not into this one Jack. But I have have my own resevation too, and I could easily see if one is into something else* not of the ordinary. His credentials will speak for him. For the meantime, he is far from my world, but if he plays good music, that would earned him my votes, smiles*

    Good morning :)

  10. Yeah I know I myself usually don't write much on this as I find it to be a no brainer - I however when I saw it I thought I would write on it. But I think we all can disipher the difference...a great eve there to you Maritess.

  13. Yeah Cath, it's not typical but as I said his intention for the longest has been to run for office, I feel that reporting news is not building up a platform for politics.

  14. I think that the Koch brothers made Beck an offer he couldn't refuse.
Charles and David Koch are two billionaires who (covertly) fund the Tea Party ... and are self proclaimed radicals for capitalism. Sadly, the good people who support the Tea Party movement (by demonstrating in good faith and giving of their time freely) are not aware of who funds the Tea Party.

  15. Frani, I didn't know that and last night I watch CNN for twenty minutes and his mission is bring back he is restoring honor within America? I don't think that honor was ever lost. Mind you timing is everything as the President is truly in a situation where tonight he makes an Oval address and I am not going to say much about the tea party as all I know is that a leader in office has been so damaged with so much controversy and meanwhile his intentions are good ones. I really don't know much about this new tea party, but the original one was due to America finally becoming a nation onto it's own without paying taxes to England. This is much different now. Thank you.

  16. Personally, I do not like the man, and I question his motives. My "gut instinct" is usually right on the money, and I question this man's true agenda. I think he is an egotist, and his main motive is simply driving controversy, getting attention, and using it to put more dollars in his pocket. After his over-the-top comment that Obama is a racist who hates whites, I'm no longer inclined to listen to anything Beck has to say. Although I am not a fan of Obama, Beck's calling him a racist was nothing more than a publicity-seeking ploy. Beck knows he has a base of listeners who are ultra-conservative, angry, white, and easily agitated, and he plays to those people. In my opinion, it's more about ratings, publicity, and satisfying his inflated ego with this man.

  17. I'm not a fan of Obama either Maryann. But then, I'm not a fan of any of them. I do vote & I did vote in the last election, but ultimately, I put my trust & faith in no man.

  18. Well said, Cathy, and I, too, do NOT place my faith and trust or rely on any man, or any man's philosophy, but on Our Father himself. Period!

  19. Beck is a demagogue, taking advantage of hard times in America. He feigns ignorance of the day he chose to stand where Martin Luther King stood. He truly couldn't tie King's shoes.

  20. Yeah Doug, I just got back here and was watching the President's address which seemed good and I hope he can live up to what he has said.
I have never seen a man that has been so scrutinized.

  21. Part of this is the man and what he stands for, Jack --change scares many people. Part of it is jus tthe times I think and the desire for things to turn around faster.
