The Things That Surprise One

For a month as I live in a part of Montreal that really is and isn’t apart of Montreal. It’s the cast away I guess if you wish. Back during the times the 40s and 50s the township of Dorval really was merely just a place where there were cottages that were mainly owned by people of international affairs. I really am not kidding you on this one as Dorval up till the 70’s I don't’think was even considered nor had any amenities from the city of Montreal as all other areas do – La Salle, Verdun, well I get them all mixed up all I know is when I am downtown in Montreal – I am downtown in Montreal.
The taxi drivers. Now here is one. The last week here I had or wished to take some pictures and head downtown well – believe it or not all these guys from this same taxi company and most all of them are from Romania decided to give me free rides (there and back) as long as it did not exceed 20 minutes. Now when I made this one call and then when George showed up – the first person I met I never knew he was a part owner of the taxi company and we had great conversations he told me what it was like in Romania and how all things are within his own perspective and there was much to be discussed to say the least. For some reason and these taxi guys they really do alright most are retired and just wish to enjoy there time as here in this section of Montreal it’s a rather very high end place and then again it’s a nice middle class area. One can see houses that literally cost within the millions and then you turn into a very nice suburbia.
The other day when I knew that I would be leaving I literally wished to get as many pictures as I could. I was dropped off and then called George and he was there within ten minutes. I guess what I am says is when you treat people with a decent manner – especially people that are 35 years and upwards they get the jest. Some just have that tact of knowing the difference between things and I am sure at night they have had there experiences but I can tell you the truth I have enjoyed these people so much that I do have something up my sleeve for them. As they literally were a life string – especially after the last two weeks.

Go figure.

When you don’t have your own car your really do give up your independence. Mind you with a long walk I have earlier taken the bus that leads to the subway or as they call it here – the transit.
Ironically all of them are originally from Romania and I am not sure if there is some type of bother hood but they literally did do a very nice deed.
