A Very Happy 4th of July

The symbolism of the United States Flag was interpreted by Washington: "We take the stars from Heaven, the red from our mother country, separating it by white stripes, thus showing that we have separated from her, and the white stripes shall go down to posterity representing Liberty."

307 million free people all into a Nation, with the ideology of being united yet within a manner out not only by community of interest, but also by unity of purpose. A nation distinguished for the clear individual conception of its citizens alike of their duties and their privileges, their obligations and their rights. How I see America is not with regards to wars but with regards to what it stands for. The culture of America is based on prosperity and as well within the spirit of the average citizen within America is a very strong and kind community. Factually Americans spend more on donations to non profit organizations than any other nation on this entire earth. Believe it or not and that does say something with respect to what America stands for as an example.  I think that says something with regards with regards to a country. America as like any country is evolving but there is a very tenacious and patriotic way within America and what she stands for. It’s not with respect to all of the past but more so with the understanding of where a great nation is going in the future. America is certainly a country I know all so well, I could write on a variety of areas but deep rooted within America is the ideology of hope and promise. For that is why so many have always wished to be in America. Rich within it’s history since that have a deep feeling of patriotism. Perhaps it’s a different one now in some ways but it’s still well within the United States of America. I will never forget the fireworks on the Hudson and “Lady Liberty” as she looks forth in a manner that is with calm yet wise.

I wrote this a few years ago and I still do believe in America regardless of all the happenings that seemingly so many are involved in yet all look at things from very different scopes. However that is the very manner in which America is and I don't think that will ever change, as that is what does make it so unique.

A Very Happy 4th of July
Sometimes we forget to take the things that are important and forget the foundation of what unifies a country. There once was a book wrote called, "A Man without a country", I remember it well as I read it while I was a child while within the United States and thereafter ...America is unique and thought all the areas in which there is much to be debated there is still a grand country which I consider which my past as home as well still to this day love to keep abreast of all that is happening - thus yes I don't say to be politically correct Happy 4th of July, however I do say Happy Birthday to a Country. A great country that I hold closely regardless of the times in which we live within. The glass is more that half full America and the Statue of Liberty still does gaze out from the Hudson and what she sees is one thing.

The future based on the history as well as the future that certainly shall unfold by the people and for the people.

  1. Love of ones country and not betraying it by making a mockery of its ideology and principles is an epitome of a good citizen.

  3. I'm very touched Jack. I think you've really captured the complex feelings al ot of us have for this country.

Americans have stumbled a bit here and there lately, of course, but we set a very high boundry for what we represent in the world and other nations hold us to that standard. And our future is really the future of the world because we have literally all the world represented amongst those 310,000 millions of us.

  6. This is what I wrote from here last night Doug. The United States has recently if not there have been more things set in than any other time within the history of America, but the future is something that shall all come yet the world does watch every single move that America makes. A trend setter - I am not sure but a super power yes but most of all from my experience a country where I have always felt at home. Doug it does not have to be complex on a day as such as it's a day that is really something to be celebrated, "we the people" certainly has taken on it's own - yet the great thing about United States is that (from my experience while there) was that people did represent themselves and there was a sense of community. Hence, a great country with many statues but for me the "libertarian" has always been something that I have reflected with as a picture.
