60 Minutes Outside of Ottawa

Yesterday I was afforded the opportunity to drive to see a rather great artist. It was actually a daughter, which is a friend of a friends as well as a mother. In driving into Ontario – it was a first a first within a long time.

A very large acreage along with a family of some most interesting people. While talking with the father whom was a retired aeronautics engineer it soon became very apparent to me that this was a very great family. The last time I was in Ontario was years ago when I was there with my work in Toronto but Ottawa is much different if you as me. The mother, father and the brother that had just celebrated his 49th birthday as well as a mother and daughter that literally had two little cabin like studios that were build…. actually much nicer than cabins. Imagine a place where you have air conditioning, great light sure it's only maybe 700 sq. ft (or a little more) yet to walk out some 500 yards and enjoy the evening with music while painting a light up some candles or turn on the odd light and have a computer, television, and all the amenities...well for the summer it's would be my creative haven - if you as me. But the art, which I have not taken any pictures of, are something.

Suzy is an Analysis, yet her passion since she was a child has been art. All done by different pencils while her mother’s passion is watercolours. It was a great trip and it’s another noted story. Now this is an acreage that is just 60 minutes from downtown Ottawa. And while we were celebrating a birthday the father and I were talking about all the different jets that they had seen doing maneuvers before the celebrations of yesterday.

I am not sure how to summarize this write with these pictures but there really is something to be said to living outside of the city and having the pleasures of both.
