1962 – The Beatles appear in a live television broadcast from Wembley Studios, Wembley, Middlesex. This is their London-area debut on television, on a children’s program called “Tuesday Rendezvous,” which is broadcast by the ITV station Associated-Rediffusion. The Beatles perform live, doing lip-sync performances of “Love Me Do” and 45 seconds of “P.S. I Love You.”
1964 – The Beatles fourth album “Beatles For Sale” (Parlophone 1240/3062) is released in the U.K. Tracks: “No Reply,” “I’m a Loser,” “Baby’s in Black,” “Rock and Roll Music,” “I’ll Follow the Sun,” “Mr. Moonlight,” “Kansas City/Hey Hey Hey Hey,” “Eight Days a Week,” “Words of Love,” “Honey Don’t,” “Every Little Thing,” “I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party,” “What You’re Doing,” and “Everybody’s Trying to Be My Baby.” Highest chart position: No.1.
1965 – The Beatles perform two shows at City Hall, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
1969 – George Harrison performs two shows as support musician for Delaney and Bonnie (and Friends) at City Hall, Sheffield.
1972 – Paul McCartney and Wings’ single “Hi Hi Hi/C Moon” (Apple 1857) is released in the U.S.
1995 – The Beatles single “Free As A Bird/I Saw Her Standing There/This Boy/Christmas Time (Is Here Again)” (Parlophone/Apple R 6422)is released in the U.K. Highest chart position: No.2.

.Wondered why Paul started "wings" to record music ?there was some rivalry between himself and John
ReplyDeleteJohn went to break up in 1973 and then Paul convinced him to say in the band. The next day Paul announced to the press they were breaking up to promote his own solo album "Ram On"...
