Just a quick follow up here as what I do right now is I will stretch and stretch. As I have been literally doing many things and I have this letter and will be going in to the hospital and the specialist whom used to train at the same gym that I did knows me all too well. Needless to say it's been a long wait, but obviously the cold has created more of a situation and I look forward to having this finished of with - I will tell you this has been an ordeal but I have been eating right with Omega 3's and taking calcium combined with vitamin C. And still there will be that time where after walking too much that I have leg problems and all that I know is to say active and then during the evenings after a hot and cold shower - which is good for neuro pain or RA - I may take this tylenol 3, but it's a narcotic and one should never be on them for more than two weeks, three days ago I did get a call from my doctor telling me that there is a letter coming - actually it was her assistant on my voice mail and then I was asked to pick up a month's supply of this medication so I take it not as prescribed, I will wait till the evening most of the times and just take one rather that becoming dependant on a medication as such. I have had a rotar cuff that needed surgery due to over training back two years ago - back then it was within the summer and I trained my way out of it. So I am fine when it hits it really does hit and I just render the best that I can and usually I have been very good with it. However with all this cold weather it was hitting me more than I would ever mention on here but now I will have this fixed up and for the meantime I will just go about things as I have been doing. I don't believe in stopping. Some will tend to stop and not move but it's most important to keep active and work around this pain that I have had and I keep it on the up and up. Even with regards to what all is happening within my family. I find that when you get your mind off yourself you it's the best means in maintaining good health. I certainly thank you as this morning I woke up and literally wrote about this and I usually am not one to complain. Are there some good things happening right now for me. Yes there is. For every situation there is always a resolve.
However in just logging on here I do thank you wished to say that to all. But I am growing my beard and it's almost finished ...
beards are good
ReplyDeleteSi!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to hear that you are keeping up with exercising and stretching, like you said it's good for you. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you actually take a cold shower though........yikes! I don't think I ever have or ever will in my life, especially not in the winter time! BBBRRRRRR!! I'd much rather stay warm. :)
You should take a picture of yourself while your beard is growing....sort of like when a woman is pregnant and takes the monthly shots for perspective? :D that would be cool! ;)
Hot to cold and then back to hot does wonders - literally it does. No I am going to wait on the beard till it's complete. A great one there to you
ReplyDeleteas I can see everyone is writing with regards to the weather...
I agree staying active is better for you then not. If you were not exercising and stretching you would probably be much worse. I understand the hot shower but cold? How does that help? Just curious because I would think the cold would not be good. My mother has bad days and she says sitting in a hot bath helps her so I wanted to know what part the cold water plays in this so I can share with her.
ReplyDeleteI did some research back some time ago by way of the Mayo Clinic online and well the change seemingly causes the receptors within the brain to feel different it's rather hard to explain but I will go from cold to hot and do that twice and it does help as well a hot bath does wonders but when this all started back a few years ago I started to cross train and I found that what I read up on actually did work. It's much like these ointments that one puts on for neuro pain, the heat up areas so the brain focuses more on the heat than the pain. But for me it's I ran and trained allot and my knees have no cushion as most people do as time goes on it degenerates with everyone and for myself this has always worked for me especially during this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteThank you for explaining, I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteYou welcome.. I think there is information if I recall correctly here > http://www.mayoclinic.org/
ReplyDeleteBeards in winter are a wise move. Girls don't usually like them much though, except on Santa. Well his is soft because he uses conditioner on it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link.
ReplyDeleteYour welcome Kelly.
ReplyDeleteSmiling Karyn you got me...I had one for four years and I have not for nearly 12 years but so far so good. But it's certainly been a while.
ReplyDeleteHave a good night. My 19 year old grew his first beard it's kind of different seeing my baby like that LOL. Last time I saw him it didn't look too good..but tonight he is home for the weekend and he has it all trimmed and he looks rather handsome :-)
ReplyDeleteCheryl I am missing something here why is everyone asking about the beard ? :)
ReplyDeleteKeep doing what you're doing Jack!
ReplyDeleteShall Nancie...
ReplyDeleteFinished? There is a stop button?
ReplyDeleteFollow your doctor's orders and be careful!
ReplyDeleteOui je suis fini et tu?
ReplyDeleteJust got on here Terri - I am till then but I will not drive on a narcotic so I just eat right and I literally exercise with this camera right now
ReplyDeleteas well as the back and forth to the hospital. So I am and this saturday morning it's -31c / -22f < I think that is correct. So you just dress
