Long John's to Cameras

I thought I would finally get a new camera and I did now I just have to figure it out. My insurance with my car is now all done with and I may even be paid more, I tended to banking measures for my father and saw my mother she is doing fine. Then from there I went to see my father's Neurologist and he just wanted to know more with regards to him - the last time that I had seen Dr. Voll, was back three years ago when my father was in intensive care. And it's all a process doing all.

The one thing the climate changed so quickly as when I headed out to do all these things over night it went from rather nice weather to -35c in the morning and literally everyone was dressed up in caps and the clothing that we usually see around January. I think it's here now and it's that time where you really dress accordingly. Was I prepared no. I literally was freezing my behind off but it's time to get out the huskies and jackets.

So it really was a day and then thereafter I had a call from my doctor to go to the pharmacy as she wanted me to be back on Tylenol 3. So I was pretty much drained and then I just headed over and picked up the script and talked with Gary the owner of the pharmacy and I asked questions and he just said that this is till my doc gets me in to see this specialist so that is the way it goes. But I know that there is a resolve within all of this and there is a medical term called quality of life. So I am just going along with it all and not down on it all. And there is nothing like being inside when it gets to this temperature. I have never seen so many people bundled up and while I was in waiting to see this Neurologist I was talking to a couple and we were talking about how we  have been spoiled for this time of the year. As we really have and so it's that time for the quilts and dressing accordingly.

I am very much into the spirit and tomorrow I am going to take a "me" day. And as well there is that side to me that wants to get back into the gym so badly but for now I will wait and tomorrow I am going to figure out this camera. Yet I still love my old one.

It's funny how we become used to things and change is something so often I find that I am reluctant with but yet there is that other side that I am very driven. So it's eating properly and as well enjoying things and accepting the things that are. I must have run into 10 people and talked with them and the theme here is on how cold it is. Yet while driving home and seeing all the lights I thought I would go back out and take some pictures but then I got this call so after that I thought time for some green tea instead of pepsi and that was it. Rather basic for a Monday yet it was very busy but that can be a good thing.

Tomorrow I am sleeping in till 7am...

  8. Hi Suzie yeah I have too. Here we don't get that harsh amount of snow as here it's a very dry climate yet last year proved that wrong but we get to a point in the season and if it gets to what it is now, I don't think we will have much snow the reason Suzie is that it's too dry and much too cold we are literally on the same longitude as Siberia, I kid you not. Yet I don't live near Sarah Palin :)

  15. a camera is something I've had on my to get list for a long time...I've gotten several of them for gifts but never had one of my own...I just use those drug store throw aways...but I do intend to get a nice digital one after the holidays....I know very little about them so will probably not get the right one the first time as is usually the case with me. Am glad to hear you are going to take sometime for yourself Jack...that's great I'd say you have earned my friend.

  16. Hey, I just woke and will head off to bed as soon as am able, Mike it's a world of pictures and stories now but I do enjoy it. I bought my first one four years ago nothing big its was a time that people were taking them and as time went I just really started to enjoy taking them it for me was more than just taking pictures. I wanted to enjoy excursions and I think one trip really brought it all together. What I like most of all is the sensation of writing and coupled with people from all over the world - I think cameras have come to replace Cams. Just my thoughts but I am one that I probably was most influenced by a friend of mine in Iraq that then went on to work for Reuters. And you see all these cameras and to make a choice I have always been very practicle as I saw one that well it's a professional camera and I like something that is handy that I can take a place within my gym bag when I head out for the day. Believe it or not with my other camera I have literally broke three tripods in obtaining the right angle and in climbing down something or up something. If you need any suggestions feel free to pm me but there are many on here that will say either Nikon of Canon...and one great freature is that most all have a stabilization feature as most men don't have as steady a hand as women from what I have read. Today I thought I would do this and well I did. So that is that.
Well, I thank you Mike...but just a month ago there was not all that much that I earned. Anyone would do what I am doing and here it's 3am and I just woke right up and not stressed just found that I was hungry and then looked outside and it's cold out there and you can see it just by looking out there.

    Cheers there Mike and thanks.

  21. Yeah it's a good time. Mind you I woke up at 2am and was on here for half an hour and then went back to bed and it's been a very nice day DJ, I went to this computer store here where I have always chummed around with some and it was nice but man everyone is on a buy craze....I looked at an apple computer and thought hmmm if only. But maybe within the new year.
A great eve to you there the temperture here right now is lol -26c...it's nice living in Siberia :)

  22. Thanks Rosie, yeah it's time to make the conversion I think as this diet pepsi thing at night is not appropriate as I just drink all to much of it and it's not healthy and at this time of the year one wishes to keep their immune system up. Enjoying the day and I have to get my flickr premium working so that is one thing with this that I have to get done and I have been out around town and tonight I will figure out this camera but at the same time in two days there is something good happening so I am just going with the flow right now and not putting much weight into anything....and yes as I mentioned on your blog, I am literally wearing long johns now! As it is cold. The saying for here is that to live here in this part of Canada you are either crazy or it builds character....

  23. Sue it's a state of mind and one can think in a negative manner or one can opt for the positive. So I hope tonight to get some pictures done if I get a few things finished off with. So it is what it is. Yet it's good.

  25. It's so cold out today. Yesterday morning I was up at 4:00 am because I couldn't sleep but when I saw how beautiful the snow was at 6 am I got dressed and drove to the riverwalk and took photos. The snow was still on the branches of the trees and it looked like a magical wonderland. It was about 7:30 when I started my walk...I was there to see the dusk to dawn lights on and go off on the bridge by the Mill. It was so beautiful. Later that day I babysat and had the little ones overnight and even though I enjoyed them it got tiring (2 five year olds and a 4 year old) Tonight I am enjoying the quiet,,going to sleep earlier too. I enjoyed the early morning walk so much yesterday morning..next really nice fluffy white snow day I think I will do the same except maybe walk up to the farms up the country road in the neighborhood,,,I bet you are loving that camera. Enjoy!

  26. I am enjoying the evening and I am going to write something I am not sure today this was a me day but at the same time I got some things done and well it's cold as in -30c here right now but here we just dress up for it and this was my own day for me. I am going to wait till this weekend to get some shots of what it's like here as I have meddled a little with this new camera but I got a several things done and I have been on the phone to California in getting somethings set up a story onto it's own and it's all good.
I have had some cut outs here with my connection but it seems to be working out well now. I love this camera but gosh there are other things that I have been attending to and well went out early in the morning to get groceries and then thereafter have been fixing a few things here and there .....it's good but time flys by so fast you get up and before you know it the entire day is gone, yet within the evening it's nice. Thanks and will come back to your blog as I had a disconnect...so the day didn't work out exactly as planned but I did get some necessaries done and then some...
