After a very cool summer thus far. I went out from the morning to on large place to get some groceries then to move along within all that I wanted to get within an early day.
The streets were clear for the most part. On Saturdays most just sleep in whereas I love to get the sunrise and then some.
I was able to get on the roof of this one complex here by way of the owners manager and what a view of the river. As well, from within.
Thereafter I went for lunch and then decided I would call a friend that works with the firestations here. It was truly a tremendous day as we finally arrived at a time where it is summer and I hope it does last!
Peace,
Jack
Beautiful pics... thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeletelove the depth in this shot!
ReplyDeletegorgeous view! and one with great contrast!
ReplyDeletereally beautiful! what city is this?
ReplyDeleteyou are here!
ReplyDeletelove the perspective there; i have a bunch that i take from different angles like that of our city!
ReplyDeleteyou seemed to have left out the firemen!!!
ReplyDeletebeautiful pics and looks like you had a wonderfully gorgeous day!
ReplyDeleteYour welcome Denise...
ReplyDeleteI load them up and so quickly there are comments :)
Yeah I was on top of the largest building that oversees the river here.
ReplyDeleteWithin Canada this particular street was awarded five times in a row the best rural and urban planning archeticture within Canada. Not kidding.
ReplyDeleteI love it and I often just walk it within the mornings. So many do here Arielle.
Saskatoon....you have never heard of it I am sure. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah I did the Chief did not want his picture taken and this was Captain that I had never met before but after a call he said, "Go for it". I did...:)
ReplyDeleteI got out at 8am and yeah I did, I have not really done this in some time but it all was within a flow as I could see that if I had left later I would not get the shots that I wished too. Especially within the the street near the river or the top of that building.
ReplyDeleteThanks much.
This is the most spectacular view that I have ever done. But it did not come easy to say the least!
ReplyDeleteOn top of this was where I was taking pictures I kid you not...:)
ReplyDeleteThank you as well I zoomed in on as I believe you can see.
ReplyDeleteIt's called the Delta Bessborough Hotel... on the very top there are offices...
I have actually. My mom lives near the Ontario border and spent a summer once with my oldest driving through Canada, not there, but would be going over maps to plan their route.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like this one.
ReplyDeleteVery cool statue
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to take a walk
ReplyDeleteNice view.
ReplyDeleteIronic as after I saw the canals that you had I then saw the rain was over and I went out with my camera this was right after heading to the grocery store. Not kidding....
ReplyDeleteHowever here the Sun did rise and it was well over do!
Thank you Rita.
Love this shot.
ReplyDeleteJack, they all are lovely and this one caught my eye with the sun peeking throught the leaves.hope you are doing real good.Take care.
ReplyDeleteYeah this sits down near the river what is it - I have no clue, I could make a joke but it's rather conceptual and it is what it is...
ReplyDeleteThanks Rita :)
Rita this was the easy shot, getting up there and on top took four flights of small stairs after the elevator I kid you not but when up there I did get shots from the highest I have ever been here. Literally.
ReplyDeleteA brand new fire engine that this fire hall just received last month. Where it came from or is made I don't know but this I wish I would have placed my video on to show a few things. But as I had not known the Captain as well as this Chief here. I just wished to get in a few pictures within the mornings time and it was interesting to say the least.
ReplyDeleteParrie ironic as I did this and a few others that I had done before and this was really the beginning of the day in a natural way.
ReplyDeletevery cool, I love the rays of sunlight streaming down... it adds to the mystique of the sculpture.
ReplyDeleteDeb I had passed it so often that within the early morning I put on my emergency lights and let cars pass as I wanted to get a picture of it - not kidding.
ReplyDeleteIt is mysterious as a sculpture to say the least but how it looked I just wanted to capture it.
it nice...it's almost as if they are cooperating with each other to build the world...
ReplyDeleteI never had thought of it that way...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot...perfectly understandable as to why it received the awards mentioned.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shot...
ReplyDeleteLooks like a definite "super store" moment...
ReplyDeleteWell, Saskatoon looks like a great town---when the snow melts!
ReplyDeleteSue, it was as it's over 20,000 sq.ft. And I went upstairs to the manager’s office and she was not there and some computer person called her and while he was on the phone to her I snuck it. I kid you not. :)
ReplyDeleteI walked down and got out of there faster than the "road runner" lol.
Who says you can’t have some fun now and then and the worst-case scenario is that I would have had someone asking me to delete off the pictures :).
It seems that an indian summer has come finally and hopefully this will be the beginning of what we ordinarily would have two months ago, but not thinking about snow. Nope! :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way I loved your shots of NYC...
very nice shot!
ReplyDeletewow! this one makes me dizzy!
ReplyDeletelovely view!
ReplyDeleteI love this one! nice angle!
ReplyDeleteThis is great!
ReplyDeleteso shiny...love the way you caught the reflection of the trees.
ReplyDeleteWas leaving this building and I saw this and had to take a picture of it Deb.
ReplyDeleteIt's time for a new camera as I am not getting really exactly what I wish but that was what I was trying to do. However I was not at the same place where a good friend works before I left here and went to Edmonton for two years.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteThis is nice, reminds me of the big pots on the steps to our house, when I was a toddler.
ReplyDeletenice!
ReplyDeletethis is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteanother lovely angle!
ReplyDeletenice perspectives here..I love tree lined streets!
ReplyDeleteThanks there is a story behind this house, but that is for another time...but I love it.
ReplyDeletethis is nice!
ReplyDeletegorgeous green, I love the play of light and shadows on the lawn...looks like a lovely spot for a picnic!
ReplyDeleteYeah...:)
ReplyDeleteA lovely set of photographs, Jack! yes, I'm longing for a new camera, too. I'm thinking if I'm very very good, Santa will bring me one this year!
ReplyDeleteIt all beautiful! make me wanna go there...
ReplyDeleteWithin Canada it's the best city to live in as of the last year. I am not sure if you have heard of Calgary but Saskatoon is often seen as being a smaller version of it. However during the summer and spring it does shine. It's not too big nor too small.
ReplyDeletelarge yeah...:)
ReplyDeletegreat reflection
ReplyDeletelovely building
ReplyDeleteHuuge!
ReplyDeleteSuch a neat statue
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bridge!
ReplyDeletePretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove the angle
ReplyDeleteI like this!
ReplyDeleteThanks Danni, I just arrived home and needless to say it's the best - I love it. I miss New York at time but this is my placement.
ReplyDeleteSure is a beautiful town/city
ReplyDeleteI have not a clue what the statue means but the theme that comes to mind is orgy :) Gotcha.
ReplyDeleteKidding aside it's something that has been there for five years now. I don't know the mean of it.
I don't recognize this business. It' doesn't appear to be any of those we have down our way. . .
ReplyDeleteYou're right. The big stores do not allow photo taking on the premises. Got one over them. What a fun way to do it, Wile E Coyote!
Recalls to me a mastiff who has been angered by the indignity of a trio to the groomer. The legs toward the building are widely stanced,, challenging. Those to the left are so finessed, almost dainty. I think the creature isn't happy. Ha ha, I think I'm too tired.
ReplyDeleteGreen. Beautiful, my favorite color.
ReplyDeleteIf the point is the rocks are attemping to hide behind the shrub, they are unsuccessful. Like the Metro in D.C. on a Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteIs that those guys on America's Got Talent?
ReplyDeleteCharles I just got here on my page and I nearly fell off my chair lol!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the green it truly all comes out here and on a more serious note the city was very well planned with the development of but within a manner that had not only buildings and streets but as well a variety of plants and so forth. Blue is my favorite color but within this time of year, green goes very far and beyond!
ReplyDeleteThanks Charles.
Every photo is exceptional. I love to see your work. It inspires me to wish I were so gifted . . . .now where's my camera . .
ReplyDeleteThis does appear to be taken from an angle not obtained by your typical shopper.
ReplyDeletewhose coffee table out on this pedestal?
ReplyDeleteNot to underestimate the beauty of concrete and dappling as well.
ReplyDeleteIt smirks
ReplyDeleteIt needs a shave and a haircut, too.
ReplyDeleteEvery hillock hath a dark side - revealing the truth behind the behind.
ReplyDelete.. * .. I never get invited to the FUN parties!
ReplyDeleteGreat framing within the frame
ReplyDeleteSo excellent because it makes me squint!
ReplyDeletePlease let that architect come to my town
ReplyDeleteIs that the bowl from the movie, You've Got Mail ?
ReplyDeletepottery?
ReplyDeleteyou didn't try to spit in it from there, did you?
ReplyDeleteBefore going any further, my comments must include the fact that I love and appreciate your photos. Thank you for sharing. Feel free to enjoy my photos as well. Though they're not as wonderful & plentiful as yours, I do try.
ReplyDeleteAnother view of this pretty thing. What IS it?
ReplyDeleteI like it too
ReplyDeleteaw
ReplyDeleteIonic? Great perspective shot.
