My Own Tribute to Picture Perfect

Today finally summer did come I wake up early and so often I get caught up within the writes and reading and so forth.  I had asked Heather one of what I assume is one of a few administrators of this group.  I am not onto myself only I do enjoy writing as well as taking pictures.  Now and then there is something that comes along that really goes far beyond the norm and this group I feel is one of them.

It’s not really a group as they created it in such a way that it’s a blog with a group of people from within.  I recall there was a friend of mine that was on here and I would see these tremendous pictures that really were something to see.  I know that people do like to keep within their own networks but for one that is very private I can say this.  I have never partook within something of the likes of this online with photographs, and ever week there are rules that everyone abide by and what is so tremendous is more than ones own pictures it’s the array of pictures from all parts of the world.

I can really say that I wish I knew of this consortium of sorts before as it’s really all within the pictures and I am not sure if you have ever seen National Geographic magazine but this is comparable as it’s so interesting to see what I call the vantages of what a very mature group of people do from there own countries.  For myself it’s not the words that make it with this Picture Perfect it’s the pictures.  For myself I have only traveled a little and have not been around the world but this group certainly does take the cake as it’s really managed and set up is a great way.  I thought I would post one picture from Heather with here allowance, but when you look within you see all corners of the world.

I am not selling this to anyone within my blog but it’s really a classic of a place that so many partake in each week.  It truly is a place that has substance and then some.  And although I only participate as I have the time I find that the people and the variety of pictures from such a variety of people and places makes for a very special enjoyable rendezvous for those that do wish to share something.

I have no invested interest within Picture Perfect other than I am merely one of many that partake within it.  Those that are members do know what I am talking about and I hope that one of the administrators do expand on this when they get the time as I literally am inspired by it each and every time I partake within it as a member. You know how groups work but this is much different as it's much easier and this last week was a term to work with which was called "contrast". As at other times there are I am sure that there is a meeting from which the thought process that goes with devising a term for each week for member that wish to partake. I would like to give an example from Heather with the most recent term in which I have never seen so many people from all over the world partake in and get creative with.

This is just an example and it's from Heather

Now with that example you would not believe the variety of people from so many countries partaking in something that is so different and as well done in a great manner. I think that when something is set up it either works or it slowly fails. If my memory serves me right this Picture Perfect has been going on for years. That does say something to say the least.

Once again, I am only a member and I asked to write this last night and was given the go. I hope that the owners/administrators of Picture Perfect deem it with good taste. As all the colors of the world come out within this place.

If you wish to take a glimpse of it the link is below...

  1. It's a great group. The shots shared each week are a bounty of photographic variety and perspective.

Nothing like a bunch of shutterbugs sharing something we all love.

  4. I look forward to something else, Rita. But this is one that I was taken when I saw all the different picture it was like NG Mag.
It's neat to say the least. I too came to multiply around the very same time. The way I see it is that everyone has there own network and do what we wish and within it all there are some people that partake in several groups, I like to have my own freedom within the evenings to write, yet I enjoy pictures and have for nearly two years now if not a bit more.

  6. Karyn it's something that truly takes our thoughts off current affairs and illustrates what is so precious on this earth I find by way of the variety of photos.
Each time I have partaken within it I have been totally taken by all the areas that ones sees. In a way it's resonates the theme of a very small world yet precious at the same time - I find.

  8. Thank you so much for your kind words Jack.

Three years ago, while still on 360, I started posting a weekly theme on my own personal site with the idea that people would post a picture with that theme in mind. It was just something creative and fun for my friends and I to do, and really it grew from there. Before long the word had spread and the site became so busy i had to open another page for my personal site as Picture Perfect grew and grew.

I could never run the site now without the help of other admins, many have come and gone but some like Tint and Cherie have braved it for longer than most. The guest hosts in between our competitions are like a breath of fresh air and we couldn't do without them.

The success of the site is really is about the people who gravitate there, and it has certainly become an event enjoyed by many all over the world.

I wanted it to be a safe place where amateur photogrpahers could grow within a nurturing environment and I think we have achieved that goal..but most importantly we have met and made some wonderful friends, and we have a huge amount of fun.

Thank you once again for this tribute..it is much appreciated

    Heather

  12. Heather when I ever have participated I am totally amazed, I do mean that as it's something which I mentioned above within my write and it's something that I find to be done in such a variety and as you say from all over the world. Word of mouth so often illustrates something that is tremendous in which it is.
The other day when I participated, I just find that all the pictures from all corners of the world is something that is truly amazing.

  19. I agree. :-) This is one of my favorite aspects of the internet. The friendly encouraging of creativity.

I pay no mind to the competition or not element, just try to take a decent picture that fits the theme.

PP was one thing that influenced my decision to come to multiply from Y360.

  20. You are so right! Among the many groups connected to Multiply, I find Picture Perfect as the most interesting, in the long run. I love the free and peaceful sharing of images here. Heather and her "staff" are doing a great work!...as well as the contributors, of course!

  21. Mia it's like turning the pages of National Geographic Mag. I truly think it takes the mind off the serious things in life and is a creative thing that is most great on the eyes. And when you have a cross section of people from all different countries taking a picture on a theme. Wow I say.
I have never talked to Heather but she allowed me to do this and well it is something I have never seen before, and as I mentioned I used to ponder at what some of my blogging friends were doing before I got into it when I would see these subjects that I was pondering where they were coming from.

    Now I know....

  22. Heather I don't think you have to spread the word on PP. I think people just come to find what it is about. This is a place where you have such quality and that came only by allowing it to morph on it's own.
However I guess I wrote on it and the intention was not to spread the word but to express how I feel about it. Yeah...

  23. Same here. Ironically I ended up on Multiply as all that were on Y360 were asking me to go to mash/mush and then one good friend indicated and while I went on a trip literally she had invited me and walked me through the set up of Multiply. Most of all I love others pictures and the variety of countries.
DJ I would have never known that but then again I do know that some only do come on here for Picture Perfect. That speaks for itself...

  24. Amalie, I think it's a time that the group just flows on it's own now as it's been groomed to such a stage. And it's not set up like a group - and whom ever thought of that really had the key to the doorway of creativity.

  25. i have been into pp so long now, that i forgot it was not a "group." it just feels that way ;)
I've met many of my online friends here.

  26. Well ironically I am half Norwegian from my father's side and when I saw your pictures I thought it was tremendous. I knew that I wished to have you as a friend as to see the things that are wrote about from there as well as were one side of my roots of heritage came from is so interesting.
